Oskars Bartulis will be suiting up for the Latvians in the Olympics in a few weeks. The Latvians released their roster yesterday, 65% of their lineup plays for Dinamo Riga of the KHL, that could prove to be an advantage if you ask me having 15 out of 23 guys on the team allready playing together so they know the style they play.
The Czech Republic and Canada release their rosters tomorrow so who knows this list could grow to 3 former Eagles in the games. Im pretty sure it`ll be 2 for sure Pavs should be on the Czech squad but i dunno about Fleury for canada.
Also tomorrow Switzerland announces their roster. Any chance of Ramholt getting on their rosterÉ
All in all good luck in Vancouver Oskars

But that team is 17th in their league... and that league is not the NHL.

Ondrej Pavelec was announced as one of the goalies for the Czech team at the 2010 Olympics. Not really a surprise but nice to see!

Congrats to Marc-Andre Fleury for making team Canada. With Fleury's tenure here sometimes feeling like it's buried so far in the past, it's almost easy to forget how big this news is. We've considered it a huge deal each time an Eagle has been named to the World Junior team (Fleury, Dixon, Adam). Consider how many of the guys who ever play for Canada at the World Juniors never even become NHL regulars, let alone NHL stars........... and consider how this is an all-world team of NHLers that Fleury just made.......... and you realize a bit better what an honour it is for him and for the organization. Congrats Marc-Andre, with the Stanley Cup and now this - you've come a long way from the days when the naysayers dubbed you "the next Curtis Joseph, nothing more!"
