Matthew Wuest on his blog, www.metronews.ca/halifax/blog/post/414166 , is reporting that Boudreau has chosen to go back to Midget AAA. Russell wanted him to stay. but he is heading home. Trey Lewis has already left for home. Bishop will remain with the team for the rest of the season. Belanger will probably be sent back to the Lions, while Wigginton could be staying.

like rats off a sinking ship. More like they think its best for their own development to go back to AAA. Not too shocked about Boudreau or Lewis opting to play the rest of the year in AAA.

Can you really blame a young guy wanting to go back to midget. Staying on the Moose this year could do more damage to your value than good. All the young guys want to prove themselves but in a situation the Moose are in now with the lack of skill and experience its difficult to see those oppurtunities arise. Your better off waiting until next year to show your worth instead of being a trail blazer this year.

I'm a bit surprised about Boudreau. He did an interview with John Moore and he mentioned how he wanted to stay for the rest of the season, and that he just wanted to do what was asked of him in order to stay. I'm not opposed to him going back, this season means nothing, but a bit surprised because of his own comments.
I was happy with what Boudreau showed. Small but skilled. He showed good poise and patience with the puck. Lots of potential. He's got to get quicker though, and hopefully grow a bit in the off season.

The players that are going back to midget are making the right decision for they know where the titanic is headed and they know the captain is steering the ship in the wrong direction. As I said many times, russell has to go for this team is a mess.

Is it just me or does it seem like Russell does look a little bad about this. He was quoted in the Herald earlier that day saying he was going to talk to Boudreau after the practice to get him to stay for the rest of the year. Then shortly after Boudreau anounces he was leaving. I though it odd (and not very bright) that Russell would not have it lined up before speaking to the media.

I really liked Metcalfe but O well u move on. Should be interesting to see if Amymot gets traded tomorrow I hope not I really like the kid; but he is 19 maybe he deserves a shot with a contender if his chances are slim of coming back as a 20!!!

He'll be back in the league as a 20, which is all the more reason to trade him. Teams will pay more for a player who will be in the league for 1 1/2 yrs as opposed to 2-3 months.

Did i read you correctly webber or am i seeing things.how could you use russell and bright in the same sentence.another great trade today giving away the only member of the team that was not a minus.most posters for some reason or another believe that i have some axe to grind with russell but i am sorry to disappoint you.if you have an open mind you would have to be blind to see that russell is just out of his elements. i truly believe that this team has no future without change.the so called up and comming future stars are just not panning out.we have no go to veterans and no leadership. then again that is all the ex gms' fault i guess.

Yeah, donger you have the wrong person out of his element ! Look in the mirror! LOL Did you take any basic English comprehension classes in school ! Your handle should be''ramblin man''not donger. In my opinion Russell is doing a fine job with what he has on the team this year. Don't you really think he is taking orders from the ownership members. What the hell do you think they have been doing the past two seasons, but trying to change their team.

Donger when I made that post I knew you would reply, although that was not why I made it. If you have followed this board Cam has taken a lot of heat. However it has been only since last January since he took over and I think most would agree that the team is in better shape now then it was then. I am not sold on his coaching abilty, not even close, but I am willing to give him a chance. Next year will really be the first chance to evaluate Cam as a coach as he will have no excuse, because he would have had a hand in getting most of the players who are playing for him.

You really don't have a clue do you? You obviously don't understand the process that is called rebuilding? Since you are soooooo smart and sooooooo open-minded could you please tell the rest of us baboon followers exactly what it is that you, oh so enlightened one, would do as far as hiring a coach to replace the baboon, what changes you would make as far as the lineup goes, what type of players would you look to acquire, what systems you would run etc etc etc. Something tells me it'll just be the same old shit though
