Yeah Gatineau released him in September. Apparently he was the 3rd goalie and last goalie cut during Gatineau camp...so not sure why they outright released him.

DONGER- "we will be weaker next year because he did nothing to make us better this year."
Thank you for proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is you that has no idea of the cycle of junior hockey. It is because of the moves that Russell has made that the Mooseheads are going to be better next year, for example trading 20 year olds away for extra picks in the future -sure it hurts in the present as the young players make mistakes but you are obviously blind if you can't see the improvement but then of course you shut your piehole for a month when the Moose were close to .500 and have only come back spouting your horseshit when they are struggling.
You say you don't have to prove your "knowledge" to me- well if you can't put up then you should shut up then.

He is playing Junior A for the Hawkwsbury Hawks of the Ontario Central Junior Hockey League. He is ranked 16th in goaltenders with a 7-19 win/loss record, a GAA of 5.51, and save % of .861. Not exactly tearing up the league.

Oh ok...maybe i was thinking about someone else. He wasnt bad in Midget, but theres probably a reason he was outright released as an 18 year old. Plus I heard he had some off ice issues.

Who are Mcguigan and Nickerson ? Can't remember Nickerson so much but McGuigan was easily a guy I would have liked to see as a 13-14th forward... but then broke his hand in a preseason game. He was a bulldog in camp and ran over several guy like a truck... also is only 17. In camp he also dropped the glove with the big 6'5" 18 year old Smith, threw some big punches and then tossed Smith to the ice like he was a little kid. He's what I think this team is missing a bit of up front from the youth. The young d have shown lost of toughness and physical play... not so much up front. I'm interested in seeing him play and hope he does well and sicks around for a while.

The name Mc Guigaan is enough for me comes from a hockey back ground of fast, rough hockey history of family that played the game in PEI..I think his dad was a great player in his day too. Also if he is half as tough as him he will be a great Moosehead..

These moves were ok.... but we could be in some trouble the rest of the way. We have already been playing pretty badly, and then we traded one of our stay at home, safe, tough defensemen. It would be nice to close our eyes, and re-open them at the draft when we get a lotto pick

Sorry-should have elaborated on what I meant; I meant at a .500 clip not record- we had a four game winning streak at one pint and then had the odd win mixed in with some losses until the latest losing streak.
