I know there's a trade thread going on but I think this one deserves it's own considering the impact it's going to have.
Details are still rolling in but it looks like we're getting the 5th leading scorer in the Q in a 3 way trade where we acquire a very good player in his own right in Eric Gelinas for Ian Saab and prospect Evans-Renaud then flip Gelinas, a 1st and a 2nd to Chicoutimi for Legace.
Legace is an impact player no doubt who gives us along with Luke Adam perhaps our most explosive duo in team history in terms of how good these guys are in the league as both could easily challenge for the league scoring title down the stretch.
That's pretty exciting for Eagle fans, regardless of opinion on whether it's in the teams best long term interest.

Well like said jb, even if we thought we should sell, he pulled off the right moves and didn't just do minor details.

Can't agree more Jack. I'm going to take the management view of it and look at the now and not the future.
So what are the lines going to look like ? Maybe ...
Lagace - Adam - Legault Hertzberg - MacNeil - Horyl Dion - MacDougall - Bourgeois Bernard - Cuzner - Shaw MacIntosh Bergeron
Piskacek - Broduer Meullier - Ellis Paul - Fournier

Nice to see this post Jack, and I agree...it should be a pleasure to watch the new crop of top forwards we've got on our roster.
Most everybody may have wished for a holdover until a better year for a run, but for the next couple of months we're about to witness a hard hitting, agreessive club with PLENTY of offensive ability to boot.
If anything, what our club now possesses is the type that should appease our appetite for intensity, physicality, and exciting inspired play...which was indeed lacking. While the cost and the logic can be argued to eternity, all we can do now as fans is cheer on our new-look Eagles as proudly as we can.
I for one, think that anything is possible. Maybe, just maybe, this club could beat everybody they face. Yes, it's a big IF, of course it is, but welcome to our new Eagles and I hope they make us proud.

Semi off topic, but, what's happening with Micallef? I apologize if its hidden in another thread. I'm way out of the loop.

They are saying Injury but he was told not to come back after X-Mas and that Super Mario would "try" to trade him . The move was done to free up a spot for Saab ..........now .....ahh.......er... Mario's favour to .........er.......... I mean........... new acquisition Kalin Paul !
