2 wins now, 3 home games left in this stretch... good to see them playing well again. If they're not careful, they'll catch BaC....

lol don't know if they need to worry so much about catching Bac (moving 3 to 6 on the euro pick)... but catching Lewiston will lose them a lottery pick. As bad as Bac, Lewi and Bat are playing the playoffs are still a longshot... 11 points out now. If they stand any chance they have to make up most of that ground over the next ten games with a bit of an easier schedule (6 home games and only 2 of the 10 vs. contenders). In their final 10 they play Bathurst 3 time but also play CB, Mon and Snb twice each.
Great game tonight. Not a big scoring, flashy game but it was full of tension and the battled for a win.
Abeltshauser and Amyot did pretty well vs. Couturier even if that line had a lot of shots... big pairing on D to deal with a big Couturier and Abeltshauser had quite a solid game.
HANNAY showed what kind of D he can become for this team and had a beast of a game. For a big "thug" he has a real intellegence to his game... knows when he can throw a hit, reads the plays pretty well, and like a few of the young d are showing he has lots of patience with the puck... very comfortable with the puck. Best hit of the game. Tough not to like him and I not sure who he reminds me of but it's been a while since we've had a D with his type of game.
No Bahm and no Lemieux (sounds close to returning) but the top three lines a looking solid. I like the with the injuries Cam has split up the top line and is trying something a bit different. The second and third lines are playing really well right now.
Tough decisions up front when everyone is healthy.

Great game today; another total team effort and Delmas is a good goalie I like us getting him for a 6th personally I think he's worth more. 2 of 3 at home keep this up and even if the playoffs are a longshot we may sneak in nice to go from an 8 game losing streak to a 2 game winning streak and you never know boys you beat Shawnigan and the fairweather fans may just start coming back like they did on your last perfect homestand. 3 more at home next up Shaw, then Bathurst and PEI but man does it feel good to beat the 2nd place team in the entire league. Good job boys Go Moose Go; the future as soon as next season looks very promising in Moose country and I'd keep Delmas as a 20 he's deserved all his starts lately and is number 1 for now!!!(its nice to know we have 2 goalies we can rely on)

Thomas Knotek looked pretty invisible yesterday. I wonder what's going on there?
Players returning from the Jr championship often turn their game up a notch.....

Or take some time to get back into it... Knotek was just a bit off last night, made a few missed passes and immediately shook his head like he knew he wasnt sharp. He had a few chances that would get blocked at the last second etc...

Great effort by the Moose yesterday holding Drummondville to one goal. Delmas played really well. It is good to finally have two goalies that can be counted on to help win games. That too many men penalty with 2 minutes to go could have been very costly but the Moose killed it very well. Desjardins was awesome against four Volt players running down the clock. I was surprised by the announced attendance of 5600. It didn't seem like there were that many there but I think that was because there were more than usual in the upper bowl with the special family day ticket package. Very classy move by the Moosehead organization to honour Jake Allen for his World Junior medal before the game.

HANNAY has the attributes to be a similar find as Jody Shelly, despite the odds Sawyer displays HEART, PRIDE AND DETERMINATION and he should continue to improve. One thing now is for sure he is no J.F. BRAULT and really never was with the exception of one individual.

Brault was a fairly physical, good size, needs to make the safe play to be effective, will fight on occasion, average mobility.... Hannay isnt far from that... Hannay has a more genuine mean streak to him though. His game is not unlike Pender's too at that age, more composed though. He is closer to the Pender/Brault mold than the Jody Shelley/Bobby Orr mold you hold him to.

So tell us again sharrow...do you still think Knotek will be a 20 with Halifax?
"Just heard that Knotek would play as a 20 in Halifax if the Moosehead don't trade him, I think that he will be removed from this trading period, does this now make Grant or Dimitruk tradeable, I don't know."
Oh so you just heard Knotek will play as a 20...thats funny...might want to check with Bobby Smith considering they are drafting a 17 year old euro.
See how that works....you say something...and someone goes back and finds it. Amazing isnt it.

One thing now is for sure he is no J.F. BRAULT and really never was with the exception of one individual. The comparsion between Hannay and Brault at 17 isn't a bad one. Hannay is tougher (likes to fight - Brault wasn't much of a fighter... he just hugged and wrestled) and he's a bit more confident with the puck. Brault looked a bit more steady on his skates not that he was a great skater. Brault I'll always remember could take and stand up to a hit better then maybe any other Moosehad I've seen. He was very hard to forecheck and guys would just bounce off of him... there was one year where you could probably count the number of times he was knocked off his skates on one hand. Brault was solid and was on one of the NHL draft rankings at one point but injuries killed his development and his game seemed to go downhill. I've been very impressed with Hannay from a longshot earning the last D spot in camp to improving as much and playing as well as he has. He's looking like he has the potential to be a very good D in his type of role.

lol don't know if they need to worry so much about catching Bac (moving 3 to 6 on the euro pick).... Depending on who picks 4th and 5th, catching BaC could have big consequences on the euro draft. Plus while Bac probably won't be competing for the same player as Halifax, that doesn't mean they won't trade the pick somewhere.
