Slightly surprised, but good to see the door slammed on Cormier.... Hopfully the AHL will see fit to honour the suspension as well, for the remainder of the season..... Good luck to Lou Lemon Meringue Pie with his problem child!

Betcha Cormier feels great today! This suspension should straighten his thinking out a bit.

From the 'non answers', it sounds like he'll be suiting up in the AHL once R-N is gone from the playoffs....

I think finally the Q league has done some thing right they stayed away from rummors and did the right thing here ..Cormier's suspension is a fair and good one it will make others think..Also I cannot see the Devels bringing him up to play in any games but they may want to bring him to some practices to keep him in shape and out of personal trouble too.It will be very hard on him the next few months for sure...Like others have said before hoping Tam is going to play soon...

What are you talking about Fred ! The kid was not in any kind of ''personnel'' trouble before this hit took place, so why should all of a sudden whould he start now .

I think what Freds trying to say is to keep him away fom trouble. You take a 19 year-old that lives for hockey and bases his life on a career in hockey and pull that all away for afew months. That leaves him in a very vunerable place in his life. Very easy to fall into a time of drinking, attitude isssues etc. Having him watched and mentored will help with that. And no he has not being in trouble before this incident, but keeping an eye out for him will help.

Rouyn-Norada is appealing the Suspension saying it is too severe; although they do understand that is has to be severe...They feel the league went too far.

I can see why they'd appeal it considering what they gave up to have him play just a couple of games, I have my doubts that they'll be successful though.
One stupid dirty bone head play and he basically screwed the Huskies for this year and years to come.

i'm willing to bet the appeal will be partially successful. he'll likely get to play in the playoffs.
