Excellent article indeed, fantastic journalism by Palov, but as for some of the content......... it's Martin Laperriere being quoted. FAR from the biggest angel in the Q himself. I'd take some of what he says with a grain of salt. He talked about how little remorse Cormier apparently showed going off the ice, but then went on to say he wasn't really watching Cormier because he was focusing on Tam's condition. I was a bit confused by that.

One thought I have been thinking about is, more than likely, Cormier will get the rest of the regular season and the playoffS, if so does anybody else think the New Jersey Devils are going to take Cormier up. Now this is just a prediction of course so any thoughts?

I was a bit confused by that. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get the outrage re: Cormier's reaction. I realize what happened was brutal to see, but this guy is still a competitor and that hit was in overtime so intensity was no doubt high. But as you say, Laperriere doesn't exactly have great credibility and some of that is likely 3rd hand info from other coaches or his players. The fact the Q is putting this decision off until Monday is a joke as it just shows the league is enjoying the spotlight of this thing from the national media and wants to milk it for all its worth. There's no need of this decision coming 8 days later when every other Q suspension comes within a few days and with no comments from the league( In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.), yet this one needs a press conference that's 3 days after Tam will have a press conference. Can't we just get it over with and get on with the rest of the season?

It would appear that the "Q" is wanting for the media to die down a bit which indicates to me that the "Q" would like a milder suspention like 20 games, which I think would not satisfy the general public or David Branch who thru a press statement indicated where they should be on this one (SEVERE)

I don't think the league is enjoying any part of this. And in this case, they acted exactly the same as the OHL did. They suspended the player indefinitely within a day or 2 or the incident, and are rendering a final decision within 5 business days.

For those of you who may have or have not seen the RDS interview with Cormier, I have translated it. It's not perfect but you'll get the gist of it.
