For those of you who may have or have not seen the RDS interview with Cormier, I have translated it. It's not perfect but you'll get the gist of it.

Tam got injured badly on the play. Fred, when you throw your elbow at an opponents head I would say things happened as you planned. If Cormier was surprised that an elbow to the head would hurt a player than he isn't a very smart person...which is why fireball doesn't believe him. I don't believe him either, a person can't be that dumb.

Freddy buddy you cannot be that gullible to believe that bull-shit from Cormier ! When Cormier stuck his elbow out it was not a spurr of the moment thing, he intentionally met to make contact with something, that being Tams head ! I think maybe you are getting your love for Cormiers older brother in the way of your rationale !

For those of you who may have or have not seen the RDS interview with Cormier, I have translated it. It's not perfect but you'll get the gist of it. Thanks for the translation. There is no remorse or no taking responsibility in there. Assuming the translation is accurate, and I am assuming that, he says it is regrettable and that he is glad Tam is okay and that he tried, through the Huskies, to contact him. He never says he is sorry for his actions, actually he says - I did what any hockey player would have done... This is what scares me the most, and what should get him the harshest punishment - no taking responsibilities for his actions. (saying I'm glad he is okay and I tried to contact him doesn't cut it). This isn't a court of law, but in court a judge, or a parole hearing, will want to hear someone admitting what they did was wrong and that they understand the consequences of their actions and have leaned not to act that way. Sure doesn't sound like it here. If anything all he does is say - at least my friends and family support me. I would hope they would - it doesn't mean what he did was right. I don't want to hag the guy out to try, but somebody needs to explain to him, and hockey players in general that they are responsible for their actions - and that driving their elbow into an opponents head is not acceptable behavior.

According to Lalala prise in another topic, saying that you are sorry for your action, in the Quebec Civil Code, is more or less admitting that you are guilty... In the perpective of the Tam family threatening to trigger an action suit against Cormier, it would have been totally unwise on Cormier's part to compromise himself with such a sentence that could be held against him in a Court of law.
