With three games remaining in the Minnesota Wild's preseason, the message from head coach Jacques Lemaire is clear: It's time to get down to business. After four games of evaluating young talent, Lemaire wants his veterans to get all the ice time they need to be successful come October 4.
That means that tonight's lineup will feature just two "youngsters" still looking for a spot on the squad. Benoit Pouliot, who impressed the staff on Tuesday in Grand Forks, will start the game centering Marian Gaborik and Pavol Demitra. Shawn Belle will be playing defense in the absence of Kurtis Foster. Wes Walz will also sit out tonight's game.
Tonight's game will mark the first of two consecutive with the St. Louis Blues and prized rookie, Erik Johnson. The former Gopher and first overall draft pick appears a lock to start the season in the NHL this season. This will be his first game at the Xcel Energy Center since last year's Final Five championship game when the Gophers defeated North Dakota in overtime.
Tonight's Probable Lineup
Brian Rolston - Eric Belanger - Pierre-Marc Bouchard
Pavol Demitra - Benoit Pouliot - Marian Gaborik
Mark Parrish - Mikko Koivu - Branko Radivojevic
Stephane Veilleux - Dominic Moore - Stephane Veilleux
Nick Schultz - Kim Johnsson
Keith Carney - Brent Burns
Shawn Belle - Martin Skoula
Josh Harding
Niklas Backstrom

Minnesota Wild
Looks like they have Stephane Veilleux listed twice.
