Moose coming off a 3-2 win over the Eagles Sat night, Rocket coming off a loss to the Eagles Fri night if the boys play like they did this weekend we can take the Rocket all points matter now!!! Wonder if Matt is good to go or if Peter will play his 3rd game in a row?

This is certainly a winnable game for the Moose if they play like they did against Cape Breton. According to the Herald this morning, Delmas will get the start as Corbeil's knee is still not 100%. I hope Russell puts Clarke back in. Garrett and everyone else now knows he was being taught a lesson. Best to put him right back in there and see if he was listening. If he takes any selfish or undisciplined penalties tonight then you sit his ass for a good long time. Maybe Cam should talk to Rick Tocchet and find out how he tamed Steve Downie. I am amazed at the turnaround in his play this year. He's been a valuable contributor in Tampa without any of the stupid stuff that he was becoming known for.

So who won this game back on January 10th? If Clarke is serious about making hockey a career, now is the time he has to make the adjustment and smarten up. He has so much talent and his all around game is so good... and he'll play 90% of the game great and effectively, but then lose his discipline at bad times. I really hope Clarke knows that he can be a dominate player in this league and could have a bright pro career if he can find a way to keep his head straight at key times. Its really up to him at this point. The coaches (Lew/Hal) have likely tried everything they can. If he STILL can't focus on playing great hockey, then that is too bad for such a promising talent. He, and many players, will ALWAYS have times they take penalties, bad penalties, and costly penalties... especially with his style, I certainly expect he will put the team shorthanded on occasion. Its more the elbows late in a close game that shouldnt happen. With 5 minutes left and a lead, he should be COMPLETELY locked into playing effectively and keeping his cool. I hope for our (fans) sake he can straighten out his focus issues because I love watching him play and wonder how good he could be at 19.

Well, word is he's been sick all week and probably won't be playing.

must have the Currie flu If Clarke doesn't play, it will be interesting to see how Currie plays. He played with his tail between his legs last game.

Well, word is he's been sick all week and probably won't be playing. He's not sick. That was mentioned with regards to practise this week, and that he was working so hard he almost vomited. You pretty much summed it up CJD. He has so much talent and potential, hopefully he can realize what we all know and see, and start worrying more about the game and his team, rather then the game within the game, and trying to take an opposing player's head off. He can still play tough, and dish out the hits (love seeing him catch guys with their heads down, a mini Scott Stevens) but he's got to do it while staying disciplined. Tonight should be a good test for him with PEI and Samson Mahbod in town. These two have had a hate on in every game this year.

Clarke was sick at practice from over working I think he learned from that experience that the coach will bench him and he has to be come a star with a team attitude... He will start too and if game is very close in third he will be not playing the last 8 minutes if he is being silly again...But if he is playing to his skill level he will finish the game on ice..As for currie I think you will see Hannay KO him..

We finally won one from behind!!!!!! Moose wanted it bad late in the third and a line shuffle paid off as Desjardins with a nifty feed to the sniper and Knotek nailed it.
Both teams were asleep in the first as with 6 mins to go the shots were 4-2 PEI. Most of the play was in the netural zone. Good shot from Andrews that maybe Wye might want back.
Second opened up a lot and I thought we had control then in 21 seconds they tied it.
PEI is a hard working team and Delmas was probably the difference as PEI had stages where they pushed us hard. Delmas was cool in the shootout and did not want to be beat. Was fitting that Desjardins got the winner as he looks like he has stepped his game up a level the last little while.
Knotek was a force every time he stepped on the ice, man is he good. His goal in the second was brilliant, littl drag then a laser to the corner, sweet!!!!!!!
Nice to get the win.

Looks like I missed a good one. Nice to see Desjardins keep it rolling... his point total is closing in on last year after a slow start this year though I find he been getting chances all year, the pucks just haven't gone in as easily.
How did the Hannay do against their big guy? He's really stepped up his game and interesting to see the 17 year old not hesitate against most of the top tough guys around the league.

Is it normal for healthy scratches to stay home or was Clarke told not to attend? www.metronews.ca/halifax/blog/post/448406The Halifax Mooseheads defenceman was a healthy scratch last night as head coach and general manager Cam Russell continued to punish him for a lack of discipline.

Don't believe everything you see or read. At practice yesterday it was clear he was sick and some were saying at tonight's game he has the flu and possible Strep Throat and was told to remain at home.
