I know 2012 is a long ways away and alot can happen. You hear rumors and annoucements Saint Johns, Halifax, aand now Cape Breton are all talking bidding for the 2012 Memorial. Well on paper with age and draft picks Halifax looks strong. Cape Breton could be semi strong and Saint John looks abit low in the cupboard. Is it smart to go for one when you could be in a rebuild. Guess you can always make it work but not without the expense further of yur future.

Of the 3, Saint John actually has the best young core. Huberdeau, Kelly, Phillips, Durepos, Beaulieu, Galiev, and Jurco are a good start. They still have some good pieces they can trade next year if they want to add to that group.
Cape Breton has a lot of catching up to do.

Halifax will be the team to beat in 2012 .....Hosts Also if CHL is looking at financial success it should be Halifax as well with 10,500 seats full and sponsors and TV areas ..There is no other team in Maritimes that would bring in the financial profits as Halifax would do for the 56 other teams in this Junior Leagues in this country..Plus the hotels and transportation systems and restaurants and pubs too.Lots for families to do on off time as well and if your a family with young children there is so much to do in down town Halifax for children ..Educational fortress of Nova Scotia .....

Halifax will be the team to beat in 2012 ..... Theyd better be lol ... Otherwise, what the f--- are we suffering through two last place seasons for? Haha ... Halifax *should* be the team to beat after this mess of a rebuild, but we all know how that goes. They need a major injection of SKILL if they want to actually make that happen.

Saint John and Lewiston both have lots of good young skill and look like they'll be solid that year. I don't think CB will contend unless they win the bid for the Memorial Cup... if they get to host it they'll spend big and load up but without being the host I don't think their build cycle fits too well with 2012. Shawiningan isn't as young as a Lewi or Hali but have some good young players and should have some solid vets that they can sell next year... they're better setup then CB.
And then you have a bunch of other young teams that could target that year. Rim, Bac, Bat, Chi, Gat, Mtl... all pretty young.
I think compared to many of those teams Halifax's biggest advantages are good depth amongst their youth (especially on D) and a pile of good draft picks over the next two years. Disadvantages at this time are high-end scoring (couple of those teams have multiple 16-17 year old that have 40+ point seasons going) and also the Moose wouldn't have any really valuable 19-20 year olds next year to sell.
Corbeil (18)
Abeltshauser (17) Clarke (17) Gillard (17) Hannay (17) Bishop (16) Lewis (16)
Gelinas (17) Andrews (16) Lemieux (17) Desjardin (17) Boudreau (16) Randell (18) MacDonald (17) maybe McGuigan (17) Bernard (18)
Nobody is set with a great first two lines, two D pairings and a #1 goalie but the Moose have a good foundation. A #1 centre and a top RW would go a long way.

As for the 40 plus points the one i look at is Andrews. Next years his draft year watch for great things from him next year. The 2 D pairing i think moose are safe therewith what they have. Now you got the you said not much of 19/20's to trade next year you need look no further the Your goalies. They trade either one and they should get an alright return. But at the same time I really think you might see them try and get a 20 year old forward that has playoff experence. If you look at this team for next year we don't have much of that at all. I have to be honest now i had more to say but Canada vs Slovakia is on and lost my train of thought. GO CANADA GO!!!!

If this is the case then every time that Quebec had the games Quebec City would host it, well I dont think they do.
