Alot can happen within the next 2 years, but with the potential of some good high draft picks, and hope that some of our 16-17 year olds will pick it up a notch. Alot of these Moose players could be saying good bye to the Moose or even playing in the Q if they can't get picked up. Some of these players may have only been good enough for a last place Q team if they don't pick it up a notch.
When you think of our forwards 4 lines of 3 those spots can fill up very quick with alot of Moose being left in the cold. Just putting names in to fill spots and not making up lines this could easily be our next 2 years. With exception of the 19year olds of course)
Forwards:
-Euro 3rd overall (Replaces Knotek) -Randell(until 20) -C Gelinas -B.Andrews -1st or 2nd overall 2010 Draft -G Desjardins -G Grant(just next year) -J Bernard -C Bety (just next year)
The final 3 spots are up for battle with a list of: A Wigginton, J Costello, M Stoddard, A Lemieux, B MacDonald, M Mcquigan. That does not include, Boudreau from last years drafts, and the potential of 3 other pick from our first 5 in 2010(if not defence of goalies) THATS 11 players fighting for 3 full time spots. We have not included trades, walk-ons, 20 year-olds(Meaning Delmas or Amyots spot), Knotek coming back, and the 3rd overall being traded for more players.
Afew of this years Moose players step it up a notch, a Jody Shelley/Pridham type walk on, Andrews or Gelinas become 1st line power forwards. The 3rd overall Euro is the next Vorachek, and our first or second overall is a star. Many of this year Moose will just not mesh with the depth of the team.
It will be all interesting how it plays out. Guess inconclusion.. The last few game could just be that for many of the 2009-10 Moose

Grant, 20 Randell, 19 Bernard, 19 Desjardins, 18 Gelinas, 18 Lemieux, 18 MacDonald, 18 Andrews, 17 Boudreau, 17
Above 9 id have to think are 'locks' add in the likelyhood of a euro forward (likely 17) and thats 10 locks...only 3 spots available. I cant see Costello, McGuigan or Wiggonton being back. The last 3 spots will be guys picked in 2010...who are 16 or 17 to give Halifax 6 forwards who would be 16 or 17...and 4 18 year olds...10 forwards who are 16, 17 and 18...

I'd keep Delmas as a 20 if he doesn't stay in Colorado; Corbeil is still only 19 and can use the help still there both good goalies and I have a feeling they'll be splitting time next season!!!

Corbeil is ONLY 19? It is because Corbeil is 19 that they need to go with one or the other. Unless it is just until Christmas keeping both doesn't make much sense to me... and I don't think they should be both even that long.

Theriault-Corbeil will probably get drafted and there is a cahnce he is not around at 20, therefore it would be dumb to keep both(assuming Delmas is not signed...and doesn't stick in Colrado ;D )and not develop a young goalie.

Where did Delmas come from originally? What was his route to the mooseheads? 2006-07: Delmas made the Lewiston MAINEiacs as the backup goaltender out of training camp, with the expectation that he would not see much playing time, and give star goaltender Bernier the occasional off day. Delmas, however, ended up being thrown into the fire in the second half of the season, after Bernier went down with an ankle injury for several weeks. As Lewiston jockeyed for playoff position, Delmas stepped in admirably, playing calm and cool under pressure against all comers, keeping the MAINEiacs in the hunt. When Bernier returned to the line-up, Delmas headed back to the bench, but he had given the coaching staff plenty of reason to be optimistic. He finished the regular season with an impressive record of 23-10-1, and was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team, coupled with an appearance in the 2007 Memorial Cup. 2007-08: With QMJHL Lewiston, Delmas compiled a 17-17 record and ranked fourth in the league with a 2.84 GAA and tied for seventh with a .903 SV%. He participated in the 2008 CHL Top Prospects Game, picking up the win after stopping 13-of-15 shots in 32:35 of action. Delmas posted a 2-2-0 record and a 2.76 GAA while starting in all four games for Team Canada at the 2007 Under-18 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament. He was ranked as the No. 3 goaltender in North America by NHL Central Scouting in its final rankings for the 2008 Entry Draft. 2008-09: Delmas had a rough year for Lewiston, posting a .867 save percentage in 58 games. 2009-10: Started the year with the Quebec Remparts, but was traded to the Halifax Mooseheads. Put up better numbers with Halifax

Where did Delmas come from originally? What was his route to the mooseheads? Three years in Lewiston, backup to Jonathan Bernier in their Memorial Cup year. Traded to Quebec before this season in a deal involving 6 players and 4 picks: 2009-06-05 Lewiston Québec Cusack, Patrick (1989-06-15) Delmas, Peter (1990-02-16) Paquette, Danick (1990-07-17) Savoie, Dominic (1990-03-15) Rd_1, Euro 2010 Québec Lewiston Carrier, Samuel (1992-04-28) Trudeau, Sébastien (1991-07-24) Rd_1, #11, 2009 (MTL) Rd_3, #39, 2009 (LEW) Rd_1, Euro 2010 Was the starter but I guess fell out of favour with Patrick Roy and we got him for a 6th at the deadline.
