Could someone please tell me what picks the Eagles actually have for the upcoming draft?
Also what draft picks for what years are coming back supposedly for Olivier Roy and Francis Meilleur?
By the way I heard a rumour about one other player possibly going as part of a previous deal. Has anyone else heard any such rumours? If no one else has I wouldn't give it much credibility like the Roy and Meilleur rumours that everyone heard back in January.

Hopefully, your team looks at selling Morgan Ellis to re-coup draft picks and speed up the rebuild, whether it is at the draft, at the trade window, or at next year's draft

The only way Ellis gets traded in the next 15 months is with an Eric Gelinas type return.

But I agree that trading Ellis for anything short of a kings ransom just isn't going to happen.

I'm on the fence about trading Ellis. I mean, obviously, he's going to be a top dman in the league by age 19/20, but, at this point, I can't think of another way to fix the damage Mario has done, especially by 2012, if we end up winning the bid for the Memorial Cup. Maybe there just isn't a way that this can be fixed by 2012. Maybe we just need to unload the few assets we have left next year and hope to be a contender by 2013? I can see Hertzberg being dealt as well. Can't see him sticking around until 20, as he'd use up both an overage and Euro spot. I realize that Jan took up two spots this year, but, that was under different circumstances. (ie - the Russian not reporting)
Also, in terms of overagers: Suppose its Bourgeois, Horyl and MacDougall. What happens if Brodeur comes back? What happens if Legace comes back? WHAT happens if Adam comes back? Then, couldn't we move some of those guys for a return?

If any pro player comes back they're likely getting immediately traded. I can't see us using Bourgeois as a 20.....he's barely Q calibre at 19. We can likely get someone better for free. MacDougall's value will be a 2nd-4th round pick at most. Horyl is untradeable.....we didn't find him in Jr A as a hidden gem....we knew he'd only play here and got him for a cheap price. Even if we could trade him, his value would be that of a 4th or 5th rounder.

Someone suggested that we might be able to get something for our extra 19 year olds who won't be coming back.
They forget what we got for Vincent Lavigeur, JC Gauthier, Brad Tesinck and Michael Stinziani last year and they were a much more serviceable and valuable group in my opinion.

A BIT. ha Brodeur....maybe a 2nd and another pick(4th or 5th) or 3rd and a prospect. Something like that. Adam....depends on the market but at minimum a 1st and top prospect. Lagace....after the last few months....can't see any GM making him their main pickup....we lose a 1st if he comes back so I put his value as that 1st rounder. Don't think we can expect any more for someone who played so poorly.
