Looks like our worst fear is coming true. I was really hoping they would go after Joseph or someone else. This is part of an article out of the post today in regards to Hanna not coming back.
Durocher’s contract is up at the end of this month and MacDonald said the team should have an announcement this week on the head coach and general manager gig.
“I don’t anticipate any problems,” MacDonald said when asked if he expects Durocher’s contract to be renewed. “We’ve had discussions, so I think it’s just a matter of getting it finalized.”
Durocher was named head coach and general manager of the Screaming Eagles in May of 2008, after working as an assistant coach with the team since August of 2006.
The Eagles were eliminated from the 2009-10 QMJHL playoffs in the opening round, dropping their best-of-seven series against the Moncton Wildcats 4-1.

Of course we don't get someone new, that would involve effort from above.
Much easier to make a phone call and offer the mediocre coach the same offer he had last year.
At least now I know I won't have to worry about 11-12 season tickets and a Mem Cup tourney....thanks for the heads up Paul.

If Moncton disposes of SJ in short order (4 or 5) ... Durocher can defend himself and say ... ... "we got beat by the League Champions in 5 games ... just like RN, Drum and SJ did ... we were as good as any of those teams. In fact ... we gave Moncton the toughest series of the 4 teams they faced ... we were the only team to beat them in regulation time (so far)". It is pretty easy to justify extending him in both jobs ... he built the 2nd best team in the Q ... the difference between being out in Rd 1 in 5 games and going to the Mem Cup was that OT loss in Game 3 ...

Or how about the post article where he stated that he was 3 games short of going to the Memorial Cup it looks like he might have been right and Paul MacDonald noted that, thus the contract renewal.

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND BELIEVES THAT THE EAGLES WERE THE SECOND BEST TEAM IN THE Q!
Any fan who watched this team play up to Christmas and was aware of Moncton adding Bourque and getting Riopel back, knew it was foolhardy to "Go for it", especially while talking about making a run at the 2012 Memorial Cup. Our greatest need anyway was a true number 1 or at least a true #2 defenseman, which was ignored.
Did any fans honestly expect this year's team to all of a sudden start playing smart disciplined two way hockey for 60 minutes every night, just because it was the start of playoffs?

Why is Hanna not coming back ? Pretty sure he was only on leave from teaching and had to make a choice between teaching full time or coaching full time.

Why is Hanna not coming back ? Pretty sure he was only on leave from teaching and had to make a choice between teaching full time or coaching full time. Yeah he was. He had to teach a certain amount of days to keep his position. It most likely became too much i'm guessing. Two young kids, teaching, coaching. Is he leaving completely or going back upstairs? As for Mario, it's pretty gross. Although as Im not saying we were the #2 team in the league, how interesting would it have been if the new format was this year to see how it went? Congrats to moncton though, they weren't / aren't being beat. We all knew that. Although, good luck beating Taylor Hall and the boys, I hear they can fight too
