For a sold out game I see a lot of empty seats.... Once again... There must be a better system than what Harbour Station is using Tickets to this game were never on sale for the public to buy. they were all given out by Rogers. They were given to Schools and other communitys groups. This is probably why there are many empty seats. There is nothing wrong with the system harbour station is using. It is the same system that the Toronto Blue Jays use, and many small arenas are now using this system. Moncton Coliseum, Sydney's Centre 200, Lewiston's Colisee

Too often when I request certain seats they tell me that those seats are not available so I settle for second best only to see the seats that I requested empty for the whole game.
And not just once... everytime.
You can say people buy these seats and don't show up. I believe that once but not every game.
The system is flawed, hurting people that want to enjoy the game. Either because they can't get the seats they prefer or they can't get tickets at all

It is also possible that these seats are held by the Sea Dogs, or the person who buys these seats chooses not to sit in them. Have you ever thought to ask the question to the sea dogs, instead of complaining?

I have asked these questions several times and get the same answers: Someone bought them and didn't show up A number of seats need to be held for scouts (since when do scouts have preferred seats over fans) A number of seats need to be held for opposing teams (there are plenty of empty seats at the east end of HS every night) And some other lame excuses

i'm sure all arena's have these issues. It's just too bad that it affects your experience at the games.

Our company has had 4 season tickets there since the Dogs came to town, and to the Flames before that. Last year they were used for only about 4 or 5 games and empty the rest of them. This year 2 have been empty every game. You can sit in them anytime you want. lol

I was expecting a crowd of maybe 4000 and I think there was probably about 5000-5500 something like that. The experience was good I don't wanna focus to much on the first game as far as what the team will look like after 1 exhibition game but I think they were up by 20 points at 1 point and up 17 at the half only to lose the game but it is pre-season sooooo ... Little nervous when ya check the PBL site and the vote is for who you think will win and SJ and Vermont are not even options lol ... Eric Gilchrese was injured early in the game and did not return apparent leg strain not sure if it was more of a precaution or not ... He's an important part of the team so hope it's nothing serious. Definitely need to work on some things ... Free Throws barely over 50% sinking 23 out of a possible 45! Also I never seen a team give up some many rebounds off missed free throws ... I think Quebec was missing the 2nd on purpose so they could get another 2 points instead of 1. Marc Egerson the Mill Rats 1st RD pick looked very good leading all scorers in the game with 26 points. Definitely looks to be a go-to guy at least after 1 pre-season game Game Day experience was cool I thought ... There are a few wrinkles but overall it was good. I like hearing the music during the play seemed to help keep the crowd into the game. Mill Rat Dancers ... No complaints here! The band at halftime was a little weird for me the music was fine it just seemed a little staged I dunno lol. O Canada ... Let's not even go there lol ... The intro was neat well done on the Kevin Garnett impression Coop! Overall I had a good time and I hope some people that took those tickets were truly interested in giving the team a chance ... I'll definitely be back ... I did have a chance to talk to Andre Livingston and he mentioned that they were getting crowds of 200-300 in NH so this was probably a lot of fun for guys like Coop!

I will give them another chance for sure but the only thing missing last night was the coach wrestling a bear. As far as quality of ball goes it sucked but again one game and pre season so let's wait and see. Once their point guard went down they only scored about 8 points the rest of the way.
As for the seat thing I sit in a row where there are 8 seats that are corporately owned. Rarely are they all used and there are several nights when all 8 are not used. This is not anyone's fault the tickets are paid for and if they chose not to use them that is their prerogative. My neighbour owns a company and they buy season tickets every year and I don't know if they have ever been to a game. He just writes them off as a business expense. When customers are in town he let's them use them and besides that the seats sit open. I am sure that there are all kinds of stories like that. In the big cities these are the tickets that the scalpers some how get their hands on to supply a service to use poor folk that would miss the opportunity to watch without them.
