Love the Farrell pick. Can't say i've ever seen him play but we always see a couple local kids not get any respect from Q Central Scouting for whatever reason and it sounds like the kid has some serious skill.
Be interesting to hear something on Loic Leduc. Played Espoir last year which is a step below midget in Quebec but there's usually a couple sleepers that come out of that league every year. Nice size too at 6'4 180lbs.

Could I get someone that maybe watches the Tradesmen to give me their thoughts on Brock Morrison & Colin Campbell?
Did they both play with Farrell?

I would thing LaLa would be the guy to let you know about all the Midget Players . I saw the Tradesmen play 3 times and to be honest with you Farrell is pretty tiny who might find it tough sledding but does have a flair about him . Campbell and Morrison are in tough to make a Team that may be reloading as opposed to rebuilding . I love that Dares kid the Dogs got .I liked him a lot more than Farrell .

All i know is they played on a line together all year. Pretty much ripped the league up. They just had no other help. From what i was told, Kyle and Colin have been working out with Chris Culligan. Not sure about Brock. Tough team to crack in Saint John though.

I've read the comments about Kyle Farrell with great interest. This young man has to have great skill and determination to accomplish what he did as a 15 year old last year. I'm hoping the Eagles give him every opportunity to show and develop those qualities next year with the 2010/11 Eagles.
Fans and posters are sometimes too quick to dismiss players just because of their size like some did last year with Brad Cuzner and 6 years ago with another 15 year old coming out of midget.
I went digging in the archives:
Ouellet Will Be Ready Before Culligan......... by " " (no login)
....there is no way Culligan will be ready for this team next year. But for sure he will be wearing the jersey eventually-just not THAT soon.
Culligan needs more time... by " " (no login)
..and patience
And it will pay off.
He can play JR A next year in Amherst which would be good for him.
Well obviously its too early to judge... by " " NESTCAPE Mod Squad
but right now I'm happy. Lots of 88's picked, picked perfectly position wise imo(1 goalie, 2 D, 6 forwards) and took a good local guy in Culligan.

"I focus mostly on defence," he said. "I play physical and I protect my (teammates). I can fight sometimes, if I have to." Sounds like this guy could be a future monster on the blueline

What I like is that he seems big and mean. Broduer was big but scared to play the body this guys seems like the opposite.
Plus he's a great skater.

What I like about this kid already is the big smile on his face in the photo someone posted on here yesterday. He looks thrilled to be coming to Cape Breton, and that's one of the most important starting points!
Also a big fan of the Farrell pick. Guys like Chris Culligan have proven that it doesn't always matter if a guy's small coming out of midget if he's got enough skill and hockey sense. Size can be improved upon, but you know the old cliche about how some players have things you can't teach. 68 points in 35 midget games as an underager suggests chances are Farrell might have at least a few of those "unteachables."

I noticed Carrier's comments as well saying this was his favourite team. Looks like three draft picks are very very happy to be part of the CB organizaition. Be intresting to see how these kids develope but man if we just would have got Luke, Brodeur, Meilleur, MacNeil out last year and Roy at X mas what a power house we could have had for a few years. Instead we are in clean up mode
