The 2011-12 season is either going to be crazy with stacked Atlantic teams in the Q. Or the flip side is there are going to be so many teams rushed together to make a contender it will be a mess. And I am not even discussing the Quebec based teams. Halifax, Saint John, Cape Breton and Lewi are 4 teams who have stated officially or unofficially they want to host the cup or have a contender. Unless something drastically happens with picks or trades Cape Breton does not have a hope in Hell. Halifax if Managed right could contend, but with so many teams contending the market for players could be nuts. Saint John could have a good team, but can't see them having a better team than they just had, and we know how that went. Bathurst could possibly be a contender in 2011-12 but i doubt it with their history. Could almost see them taking it all this year if they stay below the radar until Feburary and than do a Montreal/Philly type run. So what I am trying to say 2011-12 could turn out to be one good year or bad year of hockey...when the most of the league that runs on a four year cycle are all going for it in the same year. But the 2010-11 season is wide open...any team that puts a contender together has a very good chance.

The Titan are going all out for this coming season as they are ready for a run in their 3rd year of a cycle... Will they still be in the mix in 11-12? The question is really that they will want to see how the Bathurst market will support them this coming year. But the Titan, when they decide to move to contend, always make the necessary moves.....unless they feel that they will fall short a bit.

That is laughable ... name one time in the last 8 years where you made the necessary moves. In 05-06. all necessary moves were made to contend. You seem to forget that, for every team which actually wind the Prex Cup, 4-6 teams are trying for it every year. Do you mean to tell me that all these teams do not make the necessary moves? There is an element of luck in winning the Cup, not only due to preparation for a win.... The Titan, in 06, were at 1 period away from facing Moncton at the Prez Cup....and you keep harping as if it was not a contending team..... Go suck up somewhere else.

If those were all the necessary moves ... you would have won. You lost 8-1 in game 7 ... how does that equate to one period away from the final ? You guys didn't even show up. Was that 8-1 loss just bad luck ? Did CB make all the necessary moves this year ? Durocher ... the same guy who lead you team to that final ass kicking ... seems to think they were the second best team, and only the OT goal in game 2 was the difference in the series. Have you been drinking his koolaid since '06 ? Keep patting yourself on the back ... but that '06 team was not good enough to win anything. OK ... so that is the truth on '06 ... what other years did you make the necessary moves ? '07 ? '08 ?

Do you also mean that Saint-John, which Moncton beat in 6 games, did not do the necessary moves to win this year? You are referring to a game 7 in 2006, which means 3 wins a piece in semi-final prior to it....obviously you are spilling this on the wrong side of your mouth .....again....

Do you mean that, with a veteran goaltender, we would have beaten both Quebec and Moncton....because that is what you are implying? Pusshing Quebec to a game 7 in semi-finals is pretty close to being better than them....mayve a veteran netminder would have done a difference, maybe not.....but it was awfully close.... It was close enough to say that this Titan team was one of 3 contending teams....

You may or may not have won, it gets decided on the ice, but going with 2 17 year olds in nets is definitely not "making the necessary moves". That's swetting yourself up for failure.

Bahahahahahahaha....... nothing more entertaining than a thread hijacked by Steve CP and CHSB for a good ol fashioned shelacking.
I would honestly pay money to see a live public debate between these 3.

CHSB, Billy (CP), Steve UL.
This is Moosetalk and not Titan talk. This is a moderator post to stop this pissing match regarding the Titan as it has nothing to do with the Mooseheads.
If you disregard this message and continue with the your current pissing match regarding the Titan, I will issue a warning to that poster.
Thanks and have a good day.

Think I will just take over the new draft thread, and turn it into a FORWARDS FORWARDS FORWARS THREAD. Just joking that thread has been beaten to death.

Technically this thread wasn't about the Mooseheads. It was about the amount of teams that seem to be going for it in 2011-2012. chsb just has a knack for bringing the Titan into every thread at all times. Maybe it should have been on the Q part of the board, and not Moosetalk.
