Was looking at last years stats for Moose players. How have Carl Gelinas, and Alex Lemieux managed to have +/- of -4 and -6 respectively. One played 50 games while the other 56 and most others on the team played in the 60s. But still most other Moose have +/-'s in high teens and above. They just seem very low for last years team. Not that its a bad thing just kinda surprising in comparisson.

Simple- they played better five on five than the rest of the team They didn't play against top lines and more of their goals were 5 on 5 to bring a bit of analysis into it.

Of course not being on the penalty kill last year would help your +/- right away.

Even strength play only counts for +/- . Shorthanded goals and empty goals (assuming they arent on the PP) effect +/-

Even strength play only counts for +/- . Almost ... if you are on the PP and give up a shorty it will count against your +/- ... so even strength or on the man advantage.
