Well if any of the d-men you named lead us in points, we're definitely screwed!
You forgot Horyl.
Edit: don't get me wrong - I'd love to have an offensive defenseman, but consensus here is we don't have one, thus my comment above

It will be between Horyl and Hertzberg. Outsiders like MacDougall and Shaw if he comes out of hiding and starts playing like a 1st rounder could be up there as well. Isn't MacDougall in Lewiston? Nope

Nope I guess my question was. Is Woodworth even close to being a potential candidate for having the most points or was that a joke?

I agree that Hertzberg is the logical choice but the Eagles will have to have highly skilled players playing with him.
Horyl would be another choice and an obvious skilled player to play with Hertzberg and I hope he has his best season ever but I worry about him staying healthy with his injury history and I worry about him really wanting to play because of his very extended period on the injury list last year.

If you're "on the fence" it must mean you don't see it being any of the players he listed....which must mean you see it as Horyl....otherwise what is there to be on the fence about Well, I thought Hertzberg initially. But then I thought, Horyl put up some great numbers, pre-injury, and didn't really get his grove back after returning, so, I'm still up in the air on how he's going to produce this year. MacDougall shocked me last year. I didn't think he'd collect as many points as he did, so, maybe. Ellis is going to see a significant increase in playing time. Top defensive pairing and top PP unit. He's more of a defensive-defenceman, but, if he activates his offensive game, he should be up there. Might be a shocker, like Shaw or Cuzner. I'm torn.

It is a 2 horse race. I don't think anyone besides Hertzberg or Horyl will lead the team in points unless they both get hurt or traded.
If Woodworth finishes higher than 3rd amongst D I would be shocked.
