Hi CB fans....
I know with exhibition road games you itch for reports on who looks good and who struggles... but you come on the message boards and posters only comment on their own teams. It's hard enough to watch your own guys, let alone the other teams. I tried my best to keep an eye for guys who played well for you folks (with the hopes we get a report on the PEI performers after the game Sunday).
Guindon was the veteran presence in your young lineup. He was QBing the power play and was your main puck mover. He gave away the puck badly to cause Currie's short handed goal, but otherwise played well.
Boutilier was gritty and aggressive and picked up a couple of deserved points for his hard work.
Currie was looking to go with Riguse and Riguse initially declined. A few shifts later he obliged and faired out pretty well. Currie's no slouch and I'd have to call it a draw. Both landed some good shots.
As mentioned in the thread on our board, Millman fought twice... Capstick and Worden. He handled Capstick pretty well and also got a couple of good shots in on Worden.. victory Millman. I'm not sure where on the priority list a young enforcer is for you guys, but he really helped his cause tonight. He didn't hurt himself with his play either. The guys you had on the bench gave him lots of ice time and he was able to keep with the play.
I liked Carrier... agitating forward.
Farrell has some impressive moves and is very good on the draws. I saw him in the hall between periods and he looks about 12.
Mitch O'Neill was a rugged forward who was one of your leaders tonight.
Will Cochrane was another gritty forward who spend a lot of time working hard in the corners. He didn't show up on the score sheet but worked very hard all night. He took a blast off the ankle and didn't miss a beat, back on the next shift.
