original poster must have deleted the thread. That will only delete the first post. Only a mod could have removed the thread.

There is a GDT on the PEI board. Perhaps you were looking there.

It was there before I left for a couple of hours. I just got back a little while ago and it's gone. Looking into it.

Definitely one of those "the score doesn't represent the game" type of games. Everything PEI shot seemed to find the back of the net vs, Corbeil. I think goals 2, 5 and 6 were tipped, the first goal was a guy left wide open while Corbeil played the shooter and the 3rd goal was a 5 on 3 one timer off the post and in and I think screened by Amyot. Can't remember the 4th goal. Of course you can't say Corbeil played well but the first half of the game was one of those were the bounces went all one way. Terenzio made a few ridiculous Hasek-esque type saves in the 2nd but in general it obviously wasn't a great night in nets for the Moose.
The moose for good parts of the game carried the play. In the first and second despite having some controlling play they didn't generate the greatest chances to finish. In the 3rd they ramped it up a bit and really controlled the play for most of the period and had a lot of scoring chances... PEIs goalie played very well in the 5rd period.
They're still seeing what works up front... Gelinas-Grant-Ashley was an interesting line and probably have a donzen+ shots. The only thing I don't like is that Grant doesn't look too natural in the circle taking faceoffs.
Randell had an inspired game playing with Boudreau and Ciampini. Lemieux had a good physical game as they tried him with Andrews and Desjardins. The 4th line probably had some of the best chances but was also on for a few goals.
Though the forwards in general didn't have a whole lot of finish.
The D wasn't as bad as 8-2 suggests but I did find that Bishop had a rough game.

Since the other thread is missing, I'll re-post:
Did anynody else see the wheels on Terenzio trying to get to the bench on a delayed penalty? Looked like Brandon Reid!
Pascal Amyot really is a pylon out there. Wishing we kept Dimitruk.
I think I'll have to start attending practices to see Ciampini's shot.

The only thing I don't like is that Grant doesn't look too natural in the circle taking faceoffs. Neither did Russell. For one defensive face-off in the 2nd period he sent out Turbide with Grant's linemates to take the draw, and replaced him on the fly with Grant when the puck got down into the PEI end.

It was a bit of an odd game in that we had a lot of chances, got the puck to the net, just couldn't seem to coral anything. Passes would just miss, or the puck would bounce. I was happy with the offense overall tho. But at the same time, PEI had too many chances as well. They just capitalized....or some might say Corbeil couldn't make saves.
I liked Lemieux's game. He was always a fast skater, but you can see he's stronger in his legs and has much better balance and co-ordination. He also had a few really good hits.
It's nice to see the passing improve. That really stood out to me. Coming up the ice, on the rush, in the zone, the passing was very good. A little too fancy at times for my liking, but hard not to like the attempt at creativity.
I hope fans don't get too bent out of shape when we have losses like this thru out the year. So many times last year we played better then the score indicated, or played well enough to win, yet lost. And on the flip side there were games we were horrible and got pasted. That will still happen from time to time this year. Yes, the team is improving, and yes there is more skill, more players with great potential, but the bottom line is this is still a young hockey team. There's going to be frustrating nights at the rink. I'm sure more good then bad then the last 2-3 yrs, but still some rough games as the young guys still learn.

I've been impressed with Lemieux in all three preseason games I've seen this year and am beginning to see where the Maxim Lapierre comparisons, I think Lala may have compared him to Lappy, come from. He made a couple nice hits last night and what has particularly pleased me about his play is that he seems to be like a heatseeking missile out there when it comes to his forechecking with the way he closes in on the puck carrier.

So has it been figured out why the GDT thread was deleted? Is it just a mystery or did somebody delete it intentionally?
