Terenzio goes with 73 haha.
I liked 63 and 74, but they did away with them this year by the looks of it.

What I like about the team is the amount of potential snipers we have... sounds like Ciampini and Frk will be big time shooters, then you have guys like Ryan and Ashley who seem like goal scorers... and Desjardins shot seems to be very much improved and he usually likes to shoot it too. Gelinas is always willing to drive into the crease for a goal.
Then you have the mix of shooting and passing in most other forwards... which leads me to the question, do we have enough or ANY playmakers? Pass first kind of guys, able to do this against top checkers? I see lots of goal scoring ability but no true playmaker. We may need to have someone sort of step up into that role, but I dont see anyone that looks to be that guy.
I havent seen any preseason, but are we lacking in playmaking? Given Cams coaching style (work hard and create chances that way) he`s built a good team of players that should excel in that style, but I do worry about the playmaking on this team.
Still... should be exciting the next few years with lots of guys who can shoot the puck.

I would have to say Boudreau is our best pure playmaker. He hasn't shown he can do it at this level yet, but he's had a good camp, and looks to have the potential to be a player maker. He slows the game down, good passer. I'm just not sold on his true potential yet with his lack of speed. Ashley I'd say would be next. He looks like he can be both a goal scorer and a player maker. Great poise and patience with the puck. Grant can make plays as well.
Beyond those guys, ya you're probably right. I'm sure as the building of this team continues that will get addressed. But for this year I'd say it's a fair observation to make.

Its funny...before the draft everyone was going on about how we needed a sniper and not a playmaker and thats why we should have taken Ciampini over Gamelin....

I know I am just being silly, but am abit uneasy on Frk's number. Kinda recall last time we depended on #91, and I also believe #20 should be retired...if not right now someday.

82 for Clarke D: , not a fan of that.
Also when we attended the season ticket launch party, my friend said he overheard Terenzio saying that he was going to ask for 73.. thought he was just kinda making stuff up, but there you have it, he has good ears. Weird Goalie number.
Cosmetics aside, very excited to see this team on the ice this year. I am a Canadiens fan so I'm used to my out-there jersey numbers.

Lala point well taken. That does makes for a strong case, but still a case you would almost have to be a defensive lawyer to win.

Do you suppose Clarke changed his number to be less "noticible" by the refs? I figure if the refs saw a # 2 playing for the Mooseheads they might remember his reputation and maybe call something they wouldn't with someone else.
I really hope he's more disiplined this year. He has a huge upside.
