Speaking Of Lacerte........ Can anyone remember the last eagle to start the year or even play in our net via trade? Roy- drafted Vern- drafted Holden- drafted Benda- drafted Pav's drafted Davenport- F/A Houle- drafted Proteau- drafted?? Fluer-drafted Boisclair- drafted? Awalt-drafted Gouthro- F/A * All these guys either were signed our picked up via free agency The only guy that comes to mind is Marc-Andre Perron anyone remember him?? He played with the MAINiacs for 1 game befor coming her for just one game in 05/06 other than that our goaltending dates back to the 99/00 season when Dallaire & St. Germain came her via trade and played more than 5 games...... How about that.... There were two Marc-Andre Perrons, oddly enough - and both goalies. The guy who played one game for the MAINEiacs isn't the same guy who played a game or two for us. The MA Perron who stood in our crease a couple of times was indeed an Eagles draft pick. The last goalie I can remember us having that came via trade was Dany Dallaire in 99-00. Got him from Drummondville. He didn't start the season with us though. Last goalie to start the season with us who had come via trade would have been Dave St-Germain in 99-00. But we traded for him at Xmas in the 98-99 season. So I think that makes Lacerte the first Eagle goalie ever to start the season fresh off of the trade route. Didn't realize that - interesting!! Deer are you getting MA Perron and MA Leclerc mixed up? Cuz I can briefly only remember the one

Deer are you getting MA Perron and MA Leclerc mixed up? Cuz I can briefly only remember the one I am not! Marc-Andre Leclerc played a handful of games for the Eagles in 98-99. He was actually a pretty good goalie who went on to be one of the best Jr A netminders in the country - led his team (OCN Blizzard I think) to a couple Royal Bank Cup national Jr A tournaments..... I think he was in net for OCN when they lost the national final to fellow former Eagle Scott Gouthro and the Halifax Oland Exports in 2002. We lost Leclerc in the 1999 expansion draft to the expansion Montreal Rocket - the Eagles left him unprotected cuz they already had Dave St-Germain and had just drafted Daniel Boisclair. Leclerc may have only played a few games as an Eagle, but he managed to get into a goalie fight! Was in net during that infamous brawl at C200 against Baie-Comeau where the game got called because the teams ran out of skaters who hadn't been ejected. Meanwhile, Marc-Andre Perron played in a game or two in the 2005-2006 season. Like Leclerc, he was a guy who probably could have played major junior had he been in many other Q organizations, but was a victim of the Eagles' depth in net - we already had Ondrej Pavelec and Dave Davenport.

great start to season plus the recap always makes me feel I was actually at this game ... Lecerte played pretty decent for the Titan and hopefully has a good year in CB

For what the Titan paid for him, Lacerte did a great job. And for what CB paid for him, he's a steal.
