well there may be a spot openend up in a scoring role in Buffalo.... Jason Pominville got squashed pretty good last night and left on a stretcher.... haven't heard/read any updates but a concussion would be expected based on what I saw
maybe Luke will get the call

Hjalmarsson's hit ends an ironman streak for Pominville- "He had played all 82 games each of the past four seasons and hasn't missed a game since being a healthy scratch in Philadelphia on April 7, 2006. The Sabres' active leader in consecutive games has appeared in 336 straight contests, good for fifth in the league." I'm not thinking anyone will get called up, for the past 3 games, we've been scratching Gerbe/McCormick, now it's likely they'll both play. Gerbe would be the one put on the top lines, obviously, as McCormick fills the 4th line with Gaustad and Kaleta.

Pretty impressive that a guy who suffered a pretty badly broken leg in his Q days with Shawinigan ended up being one of the NHL's top ironmen only a few years later!

deer, it's also pretty amazing that the penalty for giving a player the finger is basically the same as the penalty for giving a player a concussion!

elementz, the only videos I've seen on TSN have been blurred out. However, my main point is that I consider reckless hits that cause concussions as a much more serious offense. The NHL doesn't!
