There was a game tonight...Eagles were in Moncton. We lost 2-0 for those who haven't noticed yet. We outshot the Cats 31-21 but gave up 2 goals (1PPG) in the 3rd. We were 0/2 on PP, Moncton 1/5. Lacerte the loss but was 3rd star. Unfortunately didn't hear much of the game.
Comments, commentary, etc.... ??

2 goals scored in 3 games.... both of them lucky.... obvious what the #1 problem is.
History shows there is hope though. I remember a three-game stretch at the start of the 04-05 season where the Eagles only scored one or two goals. Come December, their scoring was decent.
Lacerte continues his very strong early season play.
2-5 after the month of September.... about where we figured, possibly less. But I'll refer back to 04-05 again. 1-7-3 after 11 games, finished the season above .500. Not saying history will necessarily repeat itself, just saying it's too early to despair.

Was at the game last night... Major offensive woes... The best offensive line was the Parker/Bergeron/Carrier line which although got more time than normal, is still low down on Marios depth / confidence chart. Plouffe/Jodoin have done absolutely nothing except take some really stupid penalties. Can't figure out why they are getting the ice time they get.

The game last night was very choppy, mostly due to bad ice(humidex in Moncton was like +31) and a ton of bouncing pucks.
Lacerte had a strong game for you guys. The best part of your game was the physical play and in your face type grit, reminds me a bit of Bathurst's team the last couple years. The biggest issue you will have is obviously goal scoring, you had 4-5 odd man rushes including a 2-0 that ended without a shot on net. Not much finish plus Owen had a strong game, making a few good saves with anticipation and lateral movement. Guys like Cuzner MacDougall and co are asked to do a bit more than they are capable of offensively.

Because the team sees both as top 6 forwards down the line and needs to try and bring them along as quick as possible to either show them off as trade bait or know if they need to be upgraded on for next season.

I dunno it just might be your ice surface i suppose ;D I'm pretty sure last night, I saw 2 players fall in the same spot. one one Trasks hit and another with no one around him. And still remember when CB had a 2 on 0 and didn't get a shot because the guy receiving the pass fell . Hopefully his balance holds up in the ECHL.
