A thorough spanking!!!
The rivalry may be far from what it used to be, but destroying Halifax in their own rink never loses its lustre. ;D

That Memorial Cup powerhouse gets it going tonight. 9-2 for the Eagles. The building blocks are moving into their spots. You actually weren't far off!!

The rivalry may be far from what it used to be, but destroying Halifax in their own rink never loses its lustre. ;D The Moose just didn't look interested but Cb didn't let them get into the game, played solid physically and didn't give the Moose the chance to get back into the game. Pink in the rink is a curse for the Moose. Year 1: Lost 7-1 Year 2: Lost 4-0 Year 3: Lost 7-2

after cuzner get smoked, A Shithead opps Moosehead :Falls" into the boards Tosh gets a 5min Pen........... NICE!!!! What a joke .... I don't think Cuzner returned... I think pretty much every single one of our top players this year has been injured at least once by now. Except Morgan Ellis. I should knock on wood when I say that.

Man some of the boys wer chuckin them tonight . Metcalfe and Dionne scored decisive wins .....................Logan Shaw is gonna have to do this sometime soon because there were at least 3 times on the Eastlink Broadcast tonight where they showed him in scrums with absolutley no interest in any rough stuff . It is your Draft Year , so you can either show the Scouts you want it or pick a Major for college ! Bang on on all counts. That Metcalfe-Hannay fight was one of the better fights I've seen in this new tamed-down Q of the past few years. Boys were throwing bombs. We also saw a bomb from Halifax's 16 yo Desmarais, right on the beak of our 16 yo Leduc. TKO punch. You're bang on that Shaw has to stop shying away from the after-the-whistle stuff, something I've noticed pretty much all season. He's interested in facewashing guys, but that's about it. Other guys have gotten over the hump and gotten over that by dropping em once or twice, he can too.

A quote from Metcalfe on Matt Wuest's blog:
“We’re probably the two toughest guys in the league,” added Metcalfe, who helped Hannay learned the ropes as a fighter last season. “There were fights going down and I said, ‘We gotta go.’ We’re good buddies and it was all just for the game.”
I'm not sure you will get too many people agreeing with that.......

I have a question. Why does the Q screw up the most obvious things?
Like giving CB goal #3 tonight to MacDougall, when anyone with two functional eyes could see that Hertzberg clearly and simply tapped MacD's one-time pass into the net. Where is the confusion? The fact that one's 17 and the other's 27 and someone just saw the wrong 7 on the back of the sweater?
Now you have all these headlines across the league, saying "Taylor MacDougall's hat trick led CB past Halifax..." No, Viktor Hertzberg had the hat trick. Is it just me or is it only in the Q that clear mistakes like this are made?
Same thing happened at a home game a couple weeks ago against RN. A little guy with #22 and a right shot snuck in and banged home a loose puck. Sounds like JS Fournier right? They give the goal to PA Dion instead.
I know it seems very nitpicky, but stuff like that is just bush.

www.hockeyfights.com/games/125471 (click on the tv icon) You can see the Mcintosh "hit from behind" at the start of the Dion/Grant fight. I never saw it live (Thanks Telus) but judging by this a Match Penalty looks a harsh call.

I remember a few years ago Suchy took a shot that was clearly re-directed by someone in front, and not an unclear "did someone tip that?" type play, but like Hertzberg, CLEARLY put it in. Kept waiting for the goal change, but it never happened. Strange.

It wasnt really one of those 5 feet from the boards hits.

Mcintosh tried to push him off the puck and he fell into the boards. I don't even think a 5 minute major and a game misconduct is warrented. 2 minutes at the most. Also the constant streaming of the 50/50 total at the bottom of the webcast = an embarrassment.

Man this is a pretty weak league if those 2 are the toughest ! Guys like Lewis , Cormier , Greenough,LaHache ,Davis and Flinn would be dissapointed with the Rivalry only having these 2 as the headliners .

Great to see the 7 goal outburst.
Even better to see some old fashioned intensity and bad blood....hopefully that will continue as these 2 teams fight for positioning throughout the year.
