Must say I'm pretty disappointed in Lacroix-Courville's progress so far. I hope he can turn it around and contribute for us next season.
Other than that, we have some good prospects in the system. Even if we're a .500 team next year, I like that we get to watch these guys grow and develop.

All players in the Moose system will be at camp for the first week at least. If not, then we'd outright release him, and there's no sense in that unless he requests it.

I feel he will be released, we can only protect 50 guys and there's a draft to go through yet. Gonna have to cut some guys loose.

Out of boredom, looking through our invite list for some information on some of the lesser known names on there. Max Daigle (19) is a guy who's still on our protected list. I do not believe he is related to Marc-Olivier Daigle, as they were born in different areas. He was invited to camp 2 years ago, but never showed up. He has spent the previous 2 seasons playing high school hockey. here's a write-up I was able to dig up. Max Daigle, D, ’95 (Choate) — The 5’9” defender has grown a bit and appears to have bulked up a good amount over the last 12 months. The St. Lambert, Quebec native is a powerful skater with great acceleration. His skating alone could carry him into D-I hockey. Has a good stick and finds the open man in transition. Might not be dynamic enough offensively at his size to attract the interest of top Hockey East programs, but D-I schools will likely take a long look at him this year. We would also expect the NESCAC schools to try and convince him to go early decision. Josh Fitzgerald (18)Another write-up. Clears up his situation a little bit more www.thetelegram.com/Sports/2014-01-04/article-3564676/Off-the-market/1

lots of people related to one another who are born in different areas Fair enough. Less likely that they're Brothers tho. Either way I don't know, nor do I think it really matters at this point XD. Looking for some more info on Tallifier... Tye-Fi-Eh.. Tal-Fi-Eh... Tal-Fair... however you pronounce it. Cant find any articles. Apparently you can watch games from the Telus Cup online tho if you're really bored. stats.hockeycanada.ca/game/show/6553214?referrer=1061361 <--- that one features J-S Tallifier as well as Barrett Dachyshyn and Morgan Nass.

New guy writing articles on Mooseheads website is looking for suggestions so perhaps should try getting him to write scout reports/info on draft picks/players. They have in past.

For anyone that wants a quick peek at how our prospects are doing, here's a good list of the ones we've drafted: www.eliteprospects.com/draft_by_team_other.php?type=QMJHL%20Entry%20Draft&TeamID=885Edit: Copy/Paste the link. The link doesn't work even when I use http coding. Thanks Leask/Gman Fun Fact: Of the players Halifax has drafted into the Q (Midget Draft), only three forwards have gone on to register a point in the NHL: Alex Tanguay, Brandon Reid, and Jonathan Drouin (Who we traded up to get). Without doing research, we have Shelley who was a walk-on, Nagy who was drafted in the Import draft (same with Voracek and Abid), and MacKinnon who we traded for, along with Jason King. Not sure without looking who I've misssed.
