Hi, Just wondering if anyone had suggestions for a family with a 4-year-old. We're going up to Saint John for the Thomas the Tank Engine exhibit in a few weeks and were wondering if there's anything else we should do (ie zoo?) thanks in advance Sea Dog fans!

Hi, Just wondering if anyone had suggestions for a family with a 4-year-old. We're going up to Saint John for the Thomas the Tank Engine exhibit in a few weeks and were wondering if there's anything else we should do (ie zoo?) thanks in advance Sea Dog fans! caperguy My little girl is 2 and a half, and she enjoys the zoo. Last time we were there, the animals all seemed pretty active and interesting. Seems to me it would run about 25-26 bucks for 2 adults and a 4 yr old. My daughter really likes the NB Museum in Market Square too, the exhibits are not too bad (A couple giant whale skeletons and lots of pictures and stuff), and there's a big play area on the 3rd floor. It's in the neighborhood of 20 bucks for 2 adults and a child. This might be your best bet, since it doesn't depend on the weather, and it's a pretty convenient location. If the weather is great, there is an outdoor splash-pad not far from the uptown. If the weather sucks, there's an indoor play-park at Parkway Mall on the east side (In a move that restores my faith in humanity, it's really close to the liquor store). The splash pad is free for all to use (read: crowded on a hot day), and the play park is about 6-7 bucks for a full-day pass.
