"The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has asked the Amos Forestiers to take forward Nicolas Roy out of their lineup. With this move, rumors begin to swirl on a trade involving Roy in the Q. 3 teams are supposedly in the sweepstakes. Sources say Val D’or and Quebec are in the mix. The third team is not known at this point but I’m hearing that Gatineau may be in as well." From the QSpot. Looks like something is happening today? Rouyn Noranda has been in a lot of rumours as well. They even own Cape Breton's 1st 2014 (Bell trade) which will in all likelihood be a high pick and great asset to have back. I have also heard awhile back that Baie Comeau has inquired as well.

NO! the trade window is Sept. 5-15 and today is August 27th haha that's in every article you'll ever read about this situation (I'm sure it's in the one you are quoting) and it's in this thread multiple times.

doesn't meana the trade won't get done and leaked early.. much like the MacKinnon deal last year
anyways it will be good for the Q to have the kid play right away and it will be good for Cape Breton to close the chapter on this saga and see what picks they get (some of which will undoubtedly turn into future players at some future trade window)
i bet the Remps are the teama that gets it done.... just a hunch

I say the Foreurs for Richard(96), Gauthier(97) and see if you can get a first round pick as well. Add that to the compensation 5th overall and it is an excellent package if VD wants him bad enough.

I wonder, if Quebec is involved, is there even a chance that Duncan MacIntyre comes to CB at Christmas. That would be another part of the trade that you make CB fans forget Nicolas Roy was a thing lol

He'll be a key part of that team.

If Quebec is in the mix I'm sure Duncan MacIntyre is being asked about.

I doubt Quebec is serious in the sweepstakes. It doesn't cost anything inquiring about him and making an offer you're comfortable with. He's not a MacKinnon or a Drouin so it's very doubtful he would be more useful than MacIntyre next season.
It will be between the two Abitibi teams.

This link is pretty confusing. Directly above this quote it says they ARE in fact interested and the updates are only hours apart...

For as much flack as the Q gets as a league sometimes, I have to say going through this as a fan I'm satisified with the protocol for players who don't report. The league is being pro-active to get those stars into the league while helping the teams they don't report to. Good to see both sides covered for once.

It is the best of a bad situation.
