Ian Robinson can stay... but the anthem singers stopping part way through to let the crowd finish the song is getting really old. I wish I could throw overstuffed burritos at all of them and tell them to finish the fucking song. I agree now. I wouldn't have when they first started doing it. But it's getting old. Yah do it when there's 10,595 people there maybe. But not when there's 6000. It doesn't even sound good when there's 8800. Well that's just it- last season when the team was in the playoffs, the anthem singers were probably drowned out by the excited crowd, so they naturally let the crowd sing. This year it's being forced and they don't seem to understand how ridiculous it is. Yet every game, there they are holding the mic up in the air during the last part of the song. You would think they would 'get it' after trying it once and seeing (hearing?) that it's not having the same effect.

Assuming they get paid. :-)

Can this guy get replaced? He's a clown with his yelling and his over emphasizing player's names. Just get a dude like Pat Connelly that simply reads the names. This also worked great at Maple Leaf Gardens. No gimmicks required! Can he be replaced? Sure. On what grounds? Anything valid other than your personal preferences? Have you complained to Halifax Metro Centre management? I suspect not, instead you post this to an internet forum. Talking about being under 10! Have you ever been to other teams' home rinks? It is common for announcers to over emphasize a goal scorer (especially for the home team!) This is pretty typical, especially in NHL rinks, every been to Bell Centre? I think the gimmick in this case is you, one who likes to be a troll.

I guess young fellas out there wanting to be a professional rink announcer better start practicing their constipated voices.

They've got to get rid of this latest girl singer. I think last night she put the team asleep as well as the crowd!
