The Bear is just excellent TV production. The intensity and build up in some of those scenes is done really well. S2 was a great followup to S1. Enjoyed it just as much as The Last Of Us and Succession which were both spectacular. Find it really odd that the Emmy's has it as a comedy though....I did a double take at that.

My top shows for 2023 (And some aren't necessarily 2023 shows, but ones I started in 2023).
1. Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2. Ted Lasso 3. Beavis and Butthead (Reboot) 4. Spy X Family 5. Reacher 6. Jujutsu Kaisen 7. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia 8. Frasier (Reboot) 9. Cunk on Earth 10. Last Week Tonight HM: Welcome to Wrexham HM: The Continental
Old shows I started
1. The X-Files 2. Doctor Who (Reboot) 3. Doctor Who (Original) 4. Neon Genesis Evangelion 5. Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion 6. Better Call Saul 7. Banshee 8. The Walking Dead (slow at times, but overall good) 9. That 70s Show (Hits different after Masterson's trial and you realize his creepiness wasn't acting) 10: Sword Art Online
2024 shows I look forward to
1. Fallout 2. Arcane Season 2 (Amazing show that's worth a watch) 3. Rest of Reacher season 2 4. Avatar the Last Airbender (cautiously optimistic) 5. Girls Und Panzer Das Finale Part 4 (out in Japan, not sure about North America)
Also I tried getting into Yellowstone and I just can't. It feels like a boomer bait show. The prequels are great though and I hope more get made.

The prequels are great though and I hope more get made. Yellowstone writing went off the rails the last few seasons, in particular they've had a lot of issues with Costners availability leading to a mess trying to film everything. It has a lot of flaws with characters just disappearing from the show, or storylines not going anywhere. Something crazy will happen and then the following week it just resets itself leading to stakes not feeling important. It sort of has the same issues Sons of Anarchy had towards the end where you can only suspend your disbelief so much. Its in this weird spot in between prestige and soapy trash tv. I'll finish off the last season when it comes out but for sure 1883 & 1923 are of much higher quality. To enjoy Yellowstone you have to watch it the same way people watch shows like Love is Blind & The Bachelor which there's nothing wrong with that if thats your preference for entertainment.

Yeah, and a show shouldn't have to take effort to enjoy in most cases. (Subtitled shows or anime really being the only exception). When there's other really good quality shows out there, why waste time trying to get some enjoyment out of a show.

Borje on Crave has been a pretty good watch. 6 episode mini series on Borje Salming's journey from small town Sweden to playing in Toronto in the 70's and 80's. There's english subtitles but its voiced over in English, I assume the subtitles are just regional as its also something that was released in Sweden. The last episode should be released this week.

The Ted TV show is hilarious. If you liked the Ted movies, you'd like the show. It's on Prime.

I just finished watching Fallout on Prime. It was surprisingly amazing. Definitely one of the best shows I've seen in a while. If you like the games, action movies, or apocalypse movies; you'll definitely enjoy it.
And that set up for the second season was perfection.

Lately, I've really been enjoying the different limited series by Harlan Coben on Netflix. Fool me once, Safe and others have been great. I'll be checking out the others.
They really make you wonder until the end.
