Star Wars marathon this past weekend... Empire Strikes Back will always be my favourite SW movie, maybe my fave across all genres, but after rewatching Rogue One I have to say it is easily the best out of the 5 that Disney has released since the sale of Lucasfilm.

I really don't find much on there that I want to watch, but occasionally a good one comes along and I'll record it for later. I'm about to revamp my whole cable package and will probably drop all of that. I also have an android box and can find just about any movie I want to watch, some even still in theatres or just out of theatres.

It's been nice getting to go to the movies again-
Loved seeing Black Widow earlier this summer which is a movie that should have been released years ago to fit in better as far as storyline goes.
Yesterday I took my nephews to see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I've been a Marvel fan over the years but knew absolutely nothing about this character and I really enjoyed the movie, it had some of the best fight choreography I have seen as it reminded me of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee and it has a cool mid-credits scene which teases where Marvel is going with Phase 4 of their movies.
I'm looking froward to No Time to Die, feels like forever since it was held back due to well you know.
Top Gun-Maverick got pushed back to 2022 but that is probably for the best as there are a lot of movies coming out in the fall which would have had an effect on its box office.

That was a good one...I am surprised that I never heard about it until now. But yes, well worth the watch. If you like basketball - Malice in the Palace (Netflix) is a good doc created by the same crew. I definitely remembered that incident.

Never really thought about how it impacted the Player's Lives at the Time , especially Jermaine O'Neal and Reggie Miller . Stephen Jackson seems genuine but Ron Artest comes across as a Dennis Rodman Wannabe .......gives it all he has while on the Court .......but not a clue what he is going to do when he leaves the Building .

The Many Saints of Newark ......................If you were a Sopranos Fan , it's a Must See . It centers on the Main Character ....Dickie Moltasonti.....Christopher's Father but given the fact it is a Prequel ....it actually ties up a Loose End from The Series .

If anyone on here was a fan of Top Gun do yourself a favour and see Top Gun: Maverick in theater- not many sequels match the original especially with 36 years in between hut Maverick does it. My wife and I saw the original back when we were just starting to go out so we were looking forward to seeing this before it got delayed due to the pandemic.

The new Indiana Jones movie is surprisingly pretty decent in my opinion. Definitely the 4th best out of the 5 which I think is the best we could hope for at this point with HF in his 80s. Nowhere close to the original 3 but much better than Indy 4.
I went to the late showing on opening day. Not sure what the earlier showings were like but there might have been about a dozen people in the theater.

I've been out of the loop with Marvel movies lately and missed out on this trailer that came out three weeks ago.
I usually take my nephews to see these movies and there is usually a post movie breakdown that I have with my younger brother and sister about offensive language or scenes- one of the funniest was the orgy ship that Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster character had in Thor ; Ragnoruk which I took the nephews to see when they were 8 and had to try and delicately what an orgy was on the drive home- ummm it's a party kind of.
Anyways with this movie I've already told them there is going to be a lot of F bombs in this movie. But the boys are 14 now and they probably hear worse on the bench playing hockey.

So far in 2024
- Dune 2 - really good, could have had some better battle scenes to balance out the setup scenes.
- Ghostbusters 2024- it was good, felt they wanted to plug the nostalgia once again which had already been done in Afterlife; love Paul Rudd so three out of four stars.
- Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes- really good, sets up the sequels to come in this new trilogy.
