For those of us that voted in the poll, we were wrong.

Just traded Patrick Sharp for Drouin in a keeper league im in. Good timing. Hopefully it pays off over the next few years.

Well no points but from what I saw and read, he certainly looked like he belonged at that level. Had some nice playmaking and his speed looked good. Not bad for his 1st NHL game which was also his 3rd game in 4 days with cross country travel beforehand.

I was at the game an Drouin showed plenty of flashes of brilliance but tried way to much at times.

That's Drouin in a nutshell lol.
One thing I noticed that he's going to have to adapt to is the back-check pressure. A few times he made a nice move to get around a guy and find open ice in the neutral zone but in the NHL those guys you dangle are going to be closing on you in a hurry. Very little time and space 5 on 5 in the NHL.
I haven't really watched Tampa too much this season, but once he settles in, a line of Drouin/Stamkos/Palat will be lethal. I thought Palat was the best Lightning player by a wide margin last night. Tons of skill and intensity.

It will interesting to see if he plays tonight. Probably a good chance he does seeing as they lost another (Callaghan) to injury. But tough to judge him on these games. He played Friday/Saturday in the AHL, flew to Edmonton on Sunday, played Monday and now maybe Tuesday in the NHL. These are his first 4 pro games ever, and they are spread over 5 days while he missed the entire pre-season.

Picked up first point last night, an assist, and robbed in OT for what would have been a beauty for his first NHL goal. PLayed with Stamkos and had 19:57 TOI.

He didn't really look out of place. Will be interesting to see what Tampa does with him when they have a full lineup.
