The official American count for Moncton is at 4. You guys just picked up the best player in the draft in Krys. Huge shot in the arm if you can get him to report. The fact that he went in the 7th round shows what the odds of that are happening. His father also played at BU. If we had a deal already ... we would have taken him with our first pick ... moved up to get him. He is probably a guy we are hoping for a few years away.

Unless Luke McInnis and Chad Krys both show up, this is by far the worst draft by the wildcats IMO. Who would you trade up in the 2nd round and take a guy who wasn't even ranked! I don't understand at all! You would think they would of gotten a 98 goalie so you can send him back for a year. They draft a 97 goalie and now there is a controversy with him and Rioux.

Coudn't agree with you more I was just sitting here thinking I am glad they are much more knowledge than me as this seems to have been a strange draft?

I'd say no shot on Krys. You'd be hard pressed to get him under the old rules with education packages with him being a BU legacy, you surely won't get him now. But after he's NHL drafted he might be influenced, or maybe he has some trouble at school etc. It happens (Leblanc, Hudon, Coyle etc).

Judging by the amount of posts on here the past 24 hours clearly shows what people think of this draft...

Clearly there's reasons beyond your knowledge that they moved up and took who they did. Judging by the lack of response by this and how beautiful it is outside, maybe it isn't a coinisidence.

It's a little hard to judge when we only have about a tenth of the information the coaching team has. We don't know what discussions they have had with the draftees, agents, previous draftees that may come, discussions with other teams around trades and overagers, discussions with free agents, size of parents for those that have a growth spurt coming, etc. We also don't know who they may trade away next year to fill holes with younger players.

Judging by the amount of posts on here the past 24 hours clearly shows what people think of this draft... Its a nice weekend ... people probably have better things to do. I haven't seen you post any comments on each player to tell us how bad each one is. Personally I have no idea about any of them ... I'm not in any position to pass judgment on our draft. When your first pick is in Rd 3 going in ... you have to expect only limited success. We traded up to get a small kid ... I haven't heard anybody say anything bad about him yet.

Corson is coming from LHPS, so there's a chance he didn't get scouted. I don't see the problem with Dupre. Maybe he steals Rioux's spot and you have better goaltending because of it. Maybe he doesn't and you send him to play LHJMAAAQ or Midget and draft another goalie next year to keep your options open.

We as fans will only see there potential once camp opens, then we can pass judgement. but I can appreciate some fans concerns we almost always seem to draft smaller players.

Looks like he's Shane Corson's son. Hope he's better than Pat Lafontaine's son. Not sure where the Shayne Corson's son thing came from. Shayne Corson is from the Barrie ON area and Noah Corson is from Magog QC. Shayne Corson's son, Dylan, played for Bellevile and Barrie in the OHL. So whether this guy is as good as Pat Lafontaine's son is not really relevant as he does not appear to have an NHL pedigree. www.angelfire.com/ks/ShadowAssasinsX/corson.html
