Eagles look to make it 2 in a row tonight when they take on the Moose. They played a strong game against the Titan, hopefully carry that over and pick up another win tonight. Wondering who will get the call in nets tonight. Hoping for Brassard but never know with the FA here on a tryout basis. Going to go with a Eagles win 5-2.

1-0 with a goal from brunelle. Playing top 6 again tonight and paid off early. Good to see. Had a break away first shift also.

Lol Brunelle gets tripped with no call, makes a very borderline hit and instantly hes called, so lame. No hitting in the Q anymore apparently.
Pretty good goalie battle so far, Fucale has stopped 3 breakaways and Brassard has held down the fort.

Really impressed with Brunelles play that first period. Say what you want, this guy gives it his all every shift.

Refs miss Ehlers goal, and Brunelle scores an absolute beauty like a minute later therefore his goal doesn't count and its 3-1 moose now.
Unreal.

That was the biggest pile of shit that I have saw in a while. Never usually look at reffing like this but that was garbage.
On Brunelle.
Do not think of that guy to be getting big minutes .... but he is actually not looking too bad.

4-1. Deschamps gets walked around but he "blew a tire". Anyone else notice that he gets walked around quite a bit (ie vs. Sea Dogs)

I just want one single game that our goalie steals the game for us like what Fucale is doing right now for the Moose. He stops 4 completely clean breakaways and numerous other dangerous shots. Meanwhile Brassard simply is not good enough, 4 goals on 20 shots for the Moose is not going to cut it, not even close. The closest I remember to something like that is Chase Marchand last year, who by the way has a .916 SV percentage this year for Victo There are MAYBE 4 guys actually playing hard tonight, Brunelle, Bishop, Nosella and Farrell. Just such a disappointing game to watch, you can tell the Moose got pumped up for the Battle of NS in their rink and we had no interest in playing. 4-1. Deschamps gets walked around but he "blew a tire". Anyone else notice that he gets walked around quite a bit (ie vs. Sea Dogs) All our D get walked to the outside consistently, not sure what it is but its like they aren't capable of defending speed to the outside, they just get blown by.

He is not bad but no defensive stud like we thought he would be. At least not yet.

Disappointing is not the word. Looks like there is a big difference between a contending team on paper and a contending team on the ice. The talent is there but we are not seeing the results.

Screaming Eagles cbsehockey ยท 11m 11 minutes ago Fortier appears to barrel over Brassard and scores. Hmmmmm. Counts. 4-1 now. That's called working hard, driving the net and creating chances. Something that we are lacking tonight...

The issue is that the 3 top defense as far as ice time(leveille, deschamps and Macintyre) are not quick. As far as defense go you need to have quick feet. There is a reason why those three are not drafted or on the CSS lists. Very impressed with Brunelle and our call up. They are working hard every shift. Woul also like to see the two Russians playing together.
