strongly disagree you draft kids in this draft and let them cut their teeth the first half of the season and turn them into significant trade bait at Christmas time if you're loading up... easier to do with 16 year old forwards then they de facto are very improtant pieces of a 2016 championship team you guys are in a helluva spot...... should be exciting times as Eagle fans Using that opinion I 100% agree with you but I don't believe we're picking both 4 and 6 with plans on using them as trade bait. I think we've got so many assets that Dumont picks 4 and 6 and declares them untouchable while using his 2016 1st and a future like a Leveille as a 20 to finish his roster off at Christmas. Unless he gets an offer that is just too good. Unlikely though. They will definitely go the future route. Will Leveille be in the league as a 20 though? I know you are just using him as an example.

Who knows. He probably gets drafted late this year, meaning an NHL team has 2 years to sign him and if they're deep may prefer him back in junior as an overager and sign him after that season.

Anyone think Dumont will kick tires on moving up to #2? Might pull it off by offering 4 and 6 and a prospect. Bowers might fall to 4 anyway but if other teams are kicking tires and Bathurst is offering up the #2, teams are probably looking at taking Bowers.Dumont might also be content on taking Morand or Comtois, whichever falls into the 4 spot if Bowers goes at 2.Then he will still have #6 for another player. Thoughts please.

Dumont is setting himself up to make a run this year but also try and protect the future. Getting ranger pretty much proves that to me. Make SJ bite. I would love mcfalls, smallman 8 and 9 for the 4th + pick/player.

I Think Bowers will be available for you guys at #4. Bathurst should take Morand and Victo will take Comtois. I would be very satisfied as an Eagles fan to pull Bowers and D'Orio out of this draft.

Not sure what Bathurst is thinking but would be good for both teams so price could be less. Bathurst still gets there guy at 4 and you get Bowers keeping him from SJ or HFX who will take him at 2. Sure you are going for it but you using 4 and keeping on roster isnt different. Bowers is still trade asset at Xmas but with other picks not a must. Use in case of emergency or rebuild when he is older. Bathurst in that scenario maybe happy with bonus players that dont fit in CBs situation. Its an option.

If Crete-Belzile will report to us, getting him at 6 and Bowers are 4 would set us up nicely for Dubois' 19 year old season.
Obviously looking quite far in to the future on that one, but we're in good shape..

Bowers and Chainey maybe?
Antoine Crete-Belzile is another guy the Eagles may look at, but apparently he's had some injury issues that make him a bit of a question mark.
Also Mooseinfo, I think CB would be foolish to trade Bowers. He'll help the Eagles this year despite being only 16.

I dont think he will be at 4 though, likely Morand if Bathurst sells.

Morand/Comtois/Bowers are all allegedly really close anyway so oh well.

You get the 19th pick in the First Round or the First Pick in the Nineteenth Round....................er I mean the Second Round . Ask Johnny Bower , he explains it better .....but not good as Murph !

The same player is available at 19 that is available at....19. Not sure why you're so hung up on that.
