I would like to see Murphy in a Eagles uniform after the Xmas trade period. What would it take to get him?

I would hope the recent hot streak will only serve to remind other GMs across the league that a hot Fucale/Ehlers can take a 15th place team and make it have one of the best records in the league over the last month and a bit. As painful as it would be to lose those guys, it's time for the winds of change to blow through. We have nothing for the future if we don't make some deals. Not selling them this year after not using a Fucale as a future last year really makes no sense. Fucale could have been either A) 1 more impact player last year which may have put you over the top or B) 2 or 3 future assets that will mean a lot to a rebuild so to go with option C) impact 19yo on a rebuilding team does not make a lot of sense.

While I agree that Booth is a very solid add if we deal Fucale, I don't think he'd be very beneficial given our team make-up. I don't think the Moose will be good in the next two seasons, and if Booth turns out to be a franchise goalie, he might be in the pros as a 20yo. So unless we'd receive him for the purposes of trading him when he's 19, we'd still have to use an early midget draft pick on a goalie in the next couple seasons, and Booth may not be around in three years when we actually need him.

But the assets you could get for Booth would be........ Having him for 1.5 years then dealing him isn't exactly a bad thing and can help speed up the rebuild.

Best case you have a contender around him in 2 years...thanks to 2-3 trades this season. Worst case you have him at 19 and he is the big chip to trade for assets for your run in the following year + you get 2 years of a top goalie.

If we did get Booth and the window isn't there for the Mooseheads to be a contender in 2017 ( when he is 19) then trade him that year as the Q has the Memorial Cup that year. The Moose would need a huge progression with their younger players now and in midget plus drafting well in 2015 and 2016 to be a surefire contender for 2016-2017.

I believe the moose should sell to put them selves in a position to get Shane Bowers who will go high the draft this summer

To Rimouski: Nikolaj Ehlers Matt Murphy To Halifax: Hunter Moreau JM Leblanc 1st '16 1st '17 -1st in '17 goes back at the draft for Simon Bourque. See Cam, it's easy.

Lol how about what would it take to TRADE him to the Eagles A 1st rounder and maybe Corbeil if O'Leary won't report. That seems fair.

I'd rather Picco then Moreau and maybe DeLuca at the draft too. After all we are giving up a guy who can play in the top 2 parings and arguably the best player in the league.

If the Moose are selling, then they should be building for 2016-17. I don't see him having a ton of value for Halifax, regardless of how talented he is.

Then he can be flipped by Halifax for assets if that's the case. Still would want him here then go from there.
