Has anyone heard any rumblings about McInnis/Krys etc. Any chance at all we see one of the Americans next year? McInnis is a possibility, last I heard Krys was still a long long shot...but things change sometimes.

Are we sure there is no future on the Quebec deal? A 20 year old (.43 per game) for a European who is a point plus per game (1.23) in their Memorial Cup year. I'm not seeing the equity in that, solid defence or not. And he was the odd man out in Quebec?

Deal is now done.

Good news or bad for the Cats? Is Krys going to be NCAA eligible in 2015-16 or only in 2016-17? If not until 2016-17, the fact that he is already excelling on the U-18 team as a 16 y/o could be a positive for us - as that is the highest level he can play in the US short of NCAA - so perhaps he will be tempted to seek a challenge in the CHL in his draft year ....

He's eligible for NCAA next season I believe but the thing that gives me SLIGHT hope is that he has yet to commit to a college. I know those commitments don't mean squat but the fact that he didn't even commit yet kind of tells me that he's still mulling all of his options, including QMJHL.

Unless he has accelerated his schooling he is not eligible for the NCAA next year. People who follow the USTDP closely don't think he has so unlike Werenski or Hanifin he will likely be back there next year if he still plans to go the NCAA route. I agree with the commitment thing though. It's somewhat surprising that he hasn't committed somewhere yet considering a lot of kids do it when they are like 15 now.

This isn't concerning 2015/2016, but SJ Vitos are a loss away from being eliminated. Any chance Marcus Tesink joins the Wildcats for the remainder of the season? Not to play, but to practice/travel with the team.

Zach MacEwen is joining the team for the rest of the season. Hard to say how much action he sees with all the forwards the Cats are carrying. I thought he played pretty well over the holiday season and I do like that he adds some size up front. Really no harm in having him around.

But does he fit in before say Cormier ... he brings more to the table right now than Cormier. He shouldn't bump Jacob nor Murphy if he ever gets healthy. Even Leger may be behind MacEwan.

Moncton eliminated Saint John so I would assume Tesink is joining the Cats, though the Commandos have a couple of injured players so he may be better off there until the cats need him.

I saw this article and it seems to confirm what most of use thought. www.gfwadvertiser.ca/Sports/2015-03-23/article-4085008/Dominie-will-try-out-for-Moncton-Wildcats/1Shannon is asked about Dominie's chances to make the team next year, and says that we are only losing one Dman from the team. I think this just confirms that the current plan is to keep Sweeney, Johnston and Johnson as 20s next year. What was surprising was that he said there would be 14 guys competing for the last spot on the defensive corp.

They have nothing in nets next year.
