Maritime Division champs! Woooo! That was a pretty embarrassing meltdown from Charlottetown in the third period. Quite the display of bonehead penalty after bonehead penalty. They were literally tackling Cats players. Probably a combination of things, they played pretty good early on but had no finish, then got in penality trouble, which is death against the Cats, that dded to the frustraion. a few of the calls were a bit soft, the slash on Garland where he had one hand on the stick and lost it was a bad call to me, but they definitely ran themselves out of the game, Something no one mentioned was Cormier's dirty hit on Johnston in the first period. I couldn't quite see what happened but it looked like he kneed him from behind. Took place right at the bench door as he was going off the ice. For the rest of the night Johnston was definitely playing agitated. I like Cormier and all, but he really needs to smarten up. He's taken quite a few dumb penalties since returning from injury and that could have been another one.

"Charlottetown forward Spenser Cobbold lost composure in the penalty box and threw a water bottle into the crowd. He was assessed a two-game suspension." - Neil Hodge in today's T & T.
