That late game against Rouyn was a lot of fun aside from the result. Big crowd, fun atmosphere and I don't think too many people minded the late start. That was on a Friday of course. Somehow I don't think a later than expected start is going to go over quite so well with a lot of people on a Sunday... How would they have a late start on a Friday Game? What event would be tearing down before the week-end? Wasn't it a heavy equipmemt show during the week?

Warmup starts in one minute ... looks to be on time.

We were out hustled. Simple as that.

The execution was poor from the Cats for most of the night.
That combined with not matching Chicoutimi's desperation and compete level and you've got yourself a loss.

Agreed, combined with Dubeau letting a couple of softies, there is always a game or two where this happens. However I look at it as a wake-up call for the Cats as complacency seems to have set in these first games of Round one. Although won first game, it hasn't been their best IMHO.

On the PP, if Chicoutimi is collapsing 4 guys down low, Cats have to start shooting from the point rather than forcing it to the man in front of the net(Burke/Beaton).
Cats will also have to find a way to score at 5 on 5 because I don't expect as many power plays in Chicoutimi.

Here's a time lapse of the Coliseum from 5PM to 7:30PM. I'm impressed they pulled it off but man was it ever hot in the Coliseum last night.

What condition was the ice in? Far from great but it wasn't terrible in my opinion. You'd have to ask the players to get a better answer though.

We need to win the next 2 in Chic...if they go up 2-1 or even split 2-2 it will give them loads of confidence. Dubeau needs to be better IMO.
Come on boys, get 'er done.

He has a .928 save percentage. He has been the least of our problems. I'm more concerned with having only 2 even strength goals or a 50% penalty kill.

I'd scratch Lane Cormier and put Jacob in for game 3. Leger's looked good offensively so I think he deserves to stay. Cormier hasn't shown much these first 2 games. You're losing some size but Jacobs tireless efforts might spark the rest of the team.
