Awesome series Moose fans. I just hope that the other Moncton posters will take a cue from Ehlers/Mierer - Sweeney/Garland at the end of the game hand shake. They took their time to talk to each other, they battled for 7 games. Once the battle is over, it's over. Time to shake hands, give pats on the back and move on. Great season, have a good offseason, good luck at the draft. See ya in 2015-16

DNR called to the Moncton Colliseum to pick up a dead moose.... Before they come to pick it up you should steal the Memorial Cup ring off its Hoof. LOL was a good series. Congrats.

?@willypalov Not only were some Halifax players playing hurt, four of them could barely stay in the game because of the flu. Throwing up between shifts.
No excuses. Moncton were the better team and deserved to win. This just has to make us more proud of the effort they put forward. Gadoury wasn't out at all for the 3rd period. Not the way he was hoping to end his junior career I'm sure.

Probably explains some of the sluggish decision making out there... too many times we were weak on the puck when there was no reason to be. It will be interesting to see if the flu gets passed on to Moncton now. Your welcome! Yeah just realized Gadoury was completely gone and I barely noticed him. I am guessing he was one of the sick, or maybe just not well enough to play. He looked worse and worse as game 6 moved along with regards to his energy.

But I wonder what was up with Ehlers he tripped aftter last goal Moose scored and tripped to allow the Moncton empty net. He seemed off.

I thought I'd be upset if we lost tonight, but; actually I am feeling pretty okay with it.
I'm proud of the team and how it battled through 14 games of playoff hockey. Far more than I'd have expected.
Moncton is a really good team on the cycle, they wore us down, and throughout the series this teams biggest weakness was exposed: Depth. While I'd like to see how this would have gone with a full lineup, hats off to the Wildcats, and good luck against Quebec. (Seriously, they've been scary)
Time to turn to the future, after 3 weak drafts in a row we seriously need to build some depth in this roster. We have 9 picks in 5 rounds, we need to knock this draft out of the park.

Of all the elements we had to surpass during the playoffs with a young team, no second line, and a long first round going into overtime and now Willy Palov reporting that four of our Mooseheads had the flu and throwing up between periods, I feel nothing but pride for the mooseheads giving all they could give under extreme circumstances. Moncton didn't "run" you out of their rink - you did all your fans could expect and more. Congrats to taking it to round 7 against Moncton. Can't wait for next season and hope Dom will still be around to lead you.

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. Q hockey is a better product than the NHL. Sure, the kids have not developed their skills yet and yes, they do make more mistakes. But the kids playing hockey in the QMJHL, WHL or OHL are playing with emotion that you only ever see come playoff time in the NHL. Plus, they don't have the taint of money on them yet. They still have the stars in their eyes and dreams of "making it". I am like anyone else, I have my Saturday night hockey ritual, but I just can't seem to get into the NHL that much. And I think it is all because of the money. I prefer the Q because of the same reason, they are playing with emotion and they have to work hard to get to that next level. Far too many of the NHL players today are in it for the money, not for the love of the sport as it was when they were younger.. That was the best Reffed game we've had ... but they let a lot go ... a lot of blatant stuff on both sides. But it was equal ... didn't call something on one team and then let the other team get away with it. We had a guy drilled from behind after the hit on Ford ... no call ... that stuff can't be let go.

Puck was no where near Garland. So what? Moncton was allowed to have a go at Ehlers after the whistle earlier, no penalty. Q refs doesnt want to protect the best player in the league Bent and another Moose did the exact same thing after the whistle ... I think it was on Beaton ... maybe Holwell. They let both go. The hit on Garland was blatant interference and took away a scoring opportunity.

If someone can please tell me - are sportscasters supposed to be biased? These Moncton announcers are absolutely brutal - even "wooo'ing" when the Cats score. Lol ... gotta love Gerry Green ... thats his thing. I warned you all before the series started that he was a big homer.

He missed his check on Barbashev on the first goal as well.

Heck of a series! As much as I wish you guys should feel ashamed that's definitely not the case I figured the Moose would be gone in 5 or 6 games against Shawinigan so this was certainly a great run by your team. I look forward to coming down and checking out the new seats at Scotianbank Centre next season!

Congratulations to the Moose and Moose fans for having a strong playoff. You are a scary team to play against with Ehlers and Meier so tough to hold down.
Ehlers is clearly the better player compared to MVP Garland. Its his great legs ... he can skate miles effortlessly and create so many oppprtunities. He draws so much attention when he has the puck that guys can get open for him and he puts it right on the tape.
Anyways ... great series ... great fun ... stressful ... but worth the stress.

There was a play Ehlers made in the 2nd period, where he had the puck in the Moncton end near the left hashmark. He didn't have a good angle to put it on net with any force, so he pulled back between his legs and lobbed it to the net. I don't know how he even thought to do that, let alone execute it.
