Ehlers is clearly the better player compared to MVP Garland. Its his great legs ... he can skate miles effortlessly and create so many oppprtunities. He draws so much attention when he has the puck that guys can get open for him and he puts it right on the tape. There was a play Ehlers made in the 2nd period, where he had the puck in the Moncton end near the left hashmark. He didn't have a good angle to put it on net with any force, so he pulled back between his legs and lobbed it to the net. I don't know how he even thought to do that, let alone execute it. He did a few things tonight that looked cool but were really low percentage plays and ultimately turnovers. It was like he needed to be spectacular even though he had limited options. Just dump it in the corner and forecheck ... no need for a fancy soccer kick.

I figured after watching Drouin for 2+ years and all his creative skill, it would be a long time before I got to watch someone with that kind of vision and playmaking. Ehlers was more of a sniper last year, but this year his puck to skate to stick stuff, and change of direction, and toe drags etc were a treat to watch. When he did that stuff at top speed is was ridiculous. He does everything so smoothly compared to the shifty players like Drouin and Garland who are more stop/go, waterbug style. He was a bit off tonight I thought (mental focus mostly), maybe he was one of the guy fighting the flu. It won't belong before he is on NHL highlight reels.

I predecited the Mooseheads would lose the series if they were to squander the 2-0 series lead. But when I made that prediction, I had no way of knowing the Mooseheads would have no second line for 2 games. I figured there was no chance they could win this after game 4, I just didn't see the point of posting that opinion while the series was in progress. When Gadoury and Watt returned for game 6, I thought there was hope and perhaps they could steal the series. No shame in losing this series. Good effort for the Mooseheads! I'll see them again next playoffs!

Also, is it just more or is the Forum more intimidating? If it isn't more intimidating, the intimacy in there perhaps might bring out the best in both sides and make the game more entertaining. I had a lot more fun watching the games there than I did at the Scotiabank Place.

They mentioned that he might be called up to Winnipeg during the playoffs if they survive a little longer.

Subtract the 3500 or so season ticket holders from that total and you have about the same as the Provincial A teams in the late 80's early 90's..... Basically the player's parents and a few lost souls who thought they were getting into the bingo hall.

Fun trip to Moncton tonight. Not the result of course but really good effort. Debeau made a really nice glove save with 2 mins left that would have cut the lead to one.
The Cat fans were great and didn't give is a hard time.
I did however find it cheap that they played Farewell to Nova Scotia with about 15 seconds left to play, while the play was going on. I don't care if they game is over but not while the clock is still ticking.
Would definitely head back up for another playoff game. Hopefully with a better drive home.

Would be an interesting 1-year experiment, but you don't experiment with things like that. I don't think it would work, doubt the attendance would even split in half, and of course Bobby Smith wouldn't want to see his attendance decline. They would abandon whichever team sucks at the time. When the Mooseheads sell out a game, how many people on the outside of that sellout are actually looking for tickets? I bet it is under 1000. But say for the sake of the argument, someone had cash to put a another team here, is there any type of veto to stop this from happening?

The Moose did quite well taking us the number two team in the league(also inside top ten in the CHA) to the 7th and deciding game, gotta give yerselves a pat on the back for a good season. The Moose fans are probably the best in my experience being around and visiting other places in the Q over the past 12 yrs
Stay loose and will see ya next season.
Best NPSH

Had something to do with Shawinigan blocking a potentially great market like Trois-Rivières.

Instead of a second team in Halifax, maybe they should put a QMJHL team in Cape Breton

The only way you could get a rivalry going is to have one team play out of Dartmouth. Amazingly teams at Sportsplex never catch any fan interest. Yet, I would love to see the numbers that show how many "Harbour East" fans drive to Metro Centre. I'll bet it is close to half of the moose fan base. I understand your point about the forum, but, man, my arse gets sore there ... hence the need to stand, shout and holler!
