CB just acquired Ranger from Chicoutimi for a first and second. CB will be the team to beat this year in the division exciting times for you guys. Still a long ways between now and the end of tomorrow when we will really know more about what each team is doing. We look good, but so do 3 or 4 others if things go right for them. We look good .....agreed but if he stands pat on Goaltending , you fairly comfortable with Belanger ? For the Long Haul ?

We look good .....agreed but if he stands pat on Goaltending , you fairly comfortable with Belanger ? For the Long Haul ? Absolutely because I think the problem is way the team plays not the goaltenders ability. If the team plays the right way with a lead then Belanger can absolutely win behind them. If they play the wrong way then even the best goaltender will still lose. Do you think paying the price for another goaltender is the way to go? I see way more value in going into the season with him as the #1 with a youngster as the backup and if you really need to change it up at Christmas you can.

Ranger is 5'9" 180 lbs and had 55 points last year .....somebody want to add to this ? Obviously he must be bringing some intangibles with him .

IMO great trade for the Eagles. Good start to draft weekend. Now hopefully Dumont keeps it up.

Most veteran players are going to bring intangibles as a 20. I've heard nothing but good things about Ranger and how he plays. A grittier Farrell is one comparison you may like.

Ranger has played in the President's Cup final twice. That experience should come in handy.

Ranger is a character player you want on your team when it gets important. He was great with BC in the 2014 playoffs scoring 10 goals.

Nice acquisition.
Just curious as to what other teams look good and are expected to contend this year? I know it's really early on but "on paper" who are the big guns this year ?

I had to ask other posters in an earlier thread but it seems we are getting a character guy who is defensively responsible and puts the effort into his game. Not some goal scoring only floater.

I don't know a whole lot right now honestly but Charlottetown looks pretty solid. They are decently set up on D and great in net but they are lacking up front. Similar to CB but CB just solidified that a bit. I would look at SJ to get a lot better as they will be a year older plus the talent that they will be drafting. Va' d'Or should also be soild. Who else?
