so what do we get for ranger in 2016 2 2nds or a 1st in 2016 or a 1st in 2017. Decided by Chictoutimi. I imagine once we know for sure he isn't coming to CB. I cant see them giving up a 1st 2016 or even 2017 as they will finish too low. 2 2nds for a high first is relatively cheap. I guess another point could be whos 1st or 2nd. Can it be one they traded for, 2 2nds from same year would mean they could just trade for a couple lower ones.

Not going for it by 2017 means that was a complete waste of time and resources on their part.

It could be reset if things look better to the new GM who is not one to take a job and have owners dictate. He is good with assets so I doubt CB gets the best deal.

Just looking at the Norfork Admirals training camp roster and they have 19 forwards on the list.Normally teams carry 14 forwards,as it stands now they have 5 forwards too many, don't know how many or if all these guys are under contract or on tryouts. Will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Still stranger things have happened.

From this article from the 10th of October. Good for Hinds and Ranger. www.norfolkadmirals.com/release_story1.php?id=3537"Rookie Marcus Hinds evened the score almost four minutes later with help from fellow attackers Alexandre Ranger and Jordan Kremyr. Hinds' first goal as an Admiral came at 5:14 of the first period. Ranger tallied a goal of his own later in the first to give the Admirals their first lead at 13:40. Kremyr picked up another helper, and the two forwards finished the period with two points a piece."

If that is the case, does he then automatically come here or are there other options, university?

If he was in fact released and is not offered another spot I would think he would choose to play as a 20 year old in junior as oppose to playing university hockey. He can always go play university hockey next year. He would be a nice shot in the arm here to fill a role with our two Russians.

Besides how can he pass up the chance to play for Scotty Bowman here!

On elite prospects it's showing that he's been traded to the Bakersfield condors but the transaction doesent say confirmed like the rest of the trades he's been a part of.

Bakersfield is in the AHL now. Affiliate of the Oilers. I believe he had a tryout with them and then went to Norfolk of the ECHL, who is also affiliate to the Oilers.
