Dumont has done an excellent job managing his picks during his time here. What he's been unable to do to this point is get the 20 guys on the ice playing a style that leads to the group fulfilling their potential. Last season was a step in the right direction. Hopefully we can build off of that going forward.

I shoulda added, CB picks are #7 (their own) and #9 (Sherbrooke) Wonder if a player like Lukas Cormier will still be around at #7. Got to think with all the young forwards we have we should be able to add at least one (hopefully two) blue chip defense prospect in the top ten. Potential is also there to package those picks together and move up. We have a ton of prospects so I feel like this draft should be quality over quantity.

Wonder if CHA would swap #4 for #7 and #9

Wonder if CHA would swap #4 for #7 and #9 Historically speaking, trading up in the draft is a bad idea. I don't mean for CB, I mean in general. This seasons draft doesn't exactly have "big names" at the top that are really worth going all-in on like that. The difference in talent between 4 and 7 at this stage doesn't seem like a big deal so CB is definitely better off taking 2 swings in the top 10.

Seems like there is two consensus top ten defensemen in this draft. I would hate to miss out and wind up with more forwards to add to an already stacked pipeline of talented forwards.

Looks like Thomas Bordeleau committed to the US National Development team so that name is totally off the list now
