Who are the top prospects this year? At or near the top for NS you have Jared McIsaac (D-Dartmouth), Wyllum Deveaux (F-Don Mills - Ontario), & Evan MacKinnon (F-Dartmouth). I didn't get a chance to see him but Anderson MacDonald (F) was a ppg player in NBPEI Major Midget last year as a 00 born. Top prospect out of PEI is Chris MacQuaid (D) who also played NBPEIMM last year I was told Brent Broaders (F) & Matt Templeman (D) are the top in NL with Nick Abbott (F) being an interesting player at Ontario Hockey Academy. Top 2 this early out of Quebec are Benoit Groulx Jr. (F) and Ed St-Laurent (F) Top US players will be Jake Wise & Oliver Wahlstrom. I expect some of the names I just posted will end up being completely irrelevant lol

I remember hearing Logan Timmons name tossed around, is he still a good prospect?

I remember hearing Logan Timmons name tossed around, is he still a good prospect? If the draft list was released today instead of just before the draft, he'd be on it. Probably in the 3-4th round range. Beauty of the draft year though, plenty of time to move up that list or right off it.

Xavier Parent could come into the mix too as an underage exceptional player.

Gab Fortier (Max's little brother) is also a top prospect for the upcoming midget draft.
Along with Parent, 2 other 14yo players (Xavier Simoneau and Samuel Poulin) are also playing midget. If one of them outperforms Parent (apparently it's actually debatable at this point) they could be EPS-worthy.

Hopefully Cape Breton WONT have another top 5 pick... unless it's acquired in a trade that is.

Depends why it happens. If Svechnikov, Lazarev, Bishop, Dubois, Leblanc, Leveille, and Belanger all skate onto the ice with their skate guards on and injure themselves for the season, it's not really Dumonts fault.
