Fucale called up by Montreal. Canadiens Montréal @canadiensmtl 40m40 minutes ago .@fucale31 recalled from @icecapsahl, @dustintokarski reassigned to St. John's, who will play 3 games on Dec 2-4-5. bit.ly/1Nm4bzH Interesting that they'd do this when St. John's is playing so much this week... and he's the starter. I understand calling up Tokarski to sit on the bench, but why do it to your starting AHL goaltender? It gives him a pay raise.......perhaps they are rewarding him i'm sure it's to get Tokarski playing time for when they need to give Condon a break

Haters gonna hate. i should let it slide without comment but i fail to understand how my comment brings out that response from you... please explain I am purposely yanking your chain..IT WORKED! Your post in no way was saying anything negative about Fucale, that's what I thought made my post funny. Sometimes I swing and miss. Hey, truth be told, I am not the biggest Fucale fan.

Haters gonna hate. i should let it slide without comment but i fail to understand how my comment brings out that response from you... please explain I imagine it is because in the past you have made a habit of hating on certain Mooseheads alumni so it is a knee jerk response on his part. I know you aren't hating- at some point Tokarski is going to have to play when the Habs play back to back. They do just that next week and Tokarski hasn't started a game since Oct 28th so he has to get some playing time in before that.

Don't think i've ever said a bad word about Fucale...... but he sure as hell isn't ready for NHL duty yet
as for the past.... people need to get over the past... the only moose alumni i remember poking fun at .. hating on if you prefer..... was Cormier and it was more the fandom than the player because this place was ridiculous during that time with love for a guy who really was not very good at hockey haha

But, yeah, it is time to get over stuff. I'm one of those posters, I'll admit that and I try to ignore posts that are made just for getting the shit started.

Nothing like some sincere fisticuffs in a game.

Well I wasn't even around when Shelley was playing for the Moose but yeah I did "hate" on him at the NHL level because again he couldnt play the game yet some posters went on and on about him beause they loved him as a junior

Sincere fisticuffs belong in an octagon or ring between 2 people doing it for a living. Not as a part of a team sport involving outscoring another team.

Not as a part of a team sport involving outscoring another team. I was talking to a fellow Mooseheads fan last week- what we agreed upon with respect to fighting was to go to a game and know that a fight could potentially happen due to physical play. I don't have to see a fight every period and if none happen in a game but I'm entertained in spite of that then that is what I want. The problem with the Q is that the Q wants a league with no hitting along with no fighting... in other words, boring hockey. I wish the Q was as vigilant on cheap shots to star players as it is on eliminating fighting. The league is turning boring as f***. Unless your team is at the top of the league and a surefire contender there isn't much to go for. For me, the Mooseheads are at the bottom or close to the bottom of their cycle but I know they should be back within a couple years so that keeps me coming back. Peeps want to be entertained- sure you can advocate for player safety and such but if you chase away fans then you are losing money in the long run.

I'm a Mooseheads and Fucale fan, there's no Moose hating or bashing here.
Fucale was only brought up to give Tokarski playing time so he stays sharp. This wasn't a performance based promotion to the big club, like Garret Sparks for example. In fact, Fucale has been pretty awful this year in St John's.
The Habs have no back to back games over the next week. Tokarski wasn't going to play, so they sent him down for playing time and brought up Fucale. The only way Fucale sees game action is if Condon gets lit up and is pulled.
I don't see Fucale developing into an NHL starter. He's not big or athletic enough.

Peeps want to be entertained- sure you can advocate for player safety and such but if you chase away fans then you are losing money in the long run. Losing players to brain injuries at a young age far outweighs any negative financially due to entertainment value being lost. Hockey fans have to get used to hockey being what draws them in. Not the chance that 2 big teenagers might have a hell of a fight in between a 5-2 decision and that some bad blood might linger over to the next game(which it almost never did) I agree the league is boring. But the caliber of the depth has never been better which is both good and bad as it leads to teams all playing the exact same way meaning the league is very vanilla. Players like George Davis have no place in todays game. I only view that as a positive even though my teenage self loved going to games hoping to see those players act like circus animals more then hockey players. It's more maddening to me that a Mike Milbury can't look back at his own antics and realize there's no room in the game for that nonsense meaning the entire sport is still 15 or 20 years behind where it should be in the area of fighting. Some great hockey careers may have been saved and lengthened if we realized a lot sooner what damage we were doing to the sport in exchange for cheap thrills thanks to head hunting and fighting.
