Are you happy with your Goalies ? Maybe trade off and get a younger tender available , a few out there still in midget AAA that's surprised that they didn't make Q !!! Might make a big difference in new year.

I am happy with our goalies- Brassard and Resop have been fine in my opinion. If a team were to offer the Mooseheads a decent draft pick for his services I would take it but I am okay with the tandem for the season.

Hmmm, replace Resop in my opinion.

Resop is fine here considering the makeup of our team. We should be drafting a high-end goalie at the 2016 draft to put us in position going forward. But I'm fine with Resop as our #1 next year. We're not looking to give up assets for a marginal improvement in nets during a rebuild year, and next year will be a rebuild year as well.
Same opinion as MF94: If by some miracle anyone wants a 20yo goalie, I'd be thrilled with getting an asset for Brassard. But that won't happen.

I'm thinking goaltending is the least of our concerns this year. We've got a young, average defence, who are going to make a pile of mistakes and a thin forward group who are going to struggle to put the puck in the net all year. Goaltending is going to look sketchy at times this year as they are more exposed than usual. Can't think of a game this year where I would have hung a loss on the goalies, regardless of who is in there. Resop will be fine for the next couple of years. 19-20 yr old goalies are a dime a dozen. You can pick one up if we're in trouble. Drafting a young guy in June is probably a good idea. I say ride out what we've got in nets.
As I type this, I just realised I could have saved some time by just saying, I agree with Reesor. Doh!

Our 18 YO backup has started 3 of our last 4 games and has been just as good or better. Neither of them have great numbers, but the backup is just as good and I'd rather they invested time in him rather than the 20 YO. However, if they decide that we can contend, they will need to upgrade in goal. Brassard's numbers are a little better than Fortin's, but he is doing that on a rebuilding team, and you'd have to expect his numbers would improve on a stronger team. However, I'd rather they added a 19 YO goaltender so we could also add a 20 YO forward or Dman. I'm not so sure that Brassard is enough of an upgrade ... very reliable ... but not great. The price would have to be right. I think you guys would be better off in the long run without Brassard after Xmas also ... you'll need to invest time in Resop if he is going to carry the ball next year, and he has proven over the last two seasons that he is very capable.

My apologies... I should have said a quarter a dozen. We are talking Scotia Centre prices.

Trading a 20-year-old goalie in December/January is never an easy thing to do.

Trading a 20-year-old goalie in December/January is never an easy thing to do. Every year is different Could be easier to do this year with the lack of quality goaltending leaguewide and the porous crop of overagers as well

Brssdatd does not warrant a high pick in a trade and Resop should not.be more than a backup.
