Just realized that Karabacek is starting to look costly.

Only one remaining game against the three worst teams in the league (B-C, Moncton & Quebec) since the trade period so it's not the easiest schedule by any means. Looking at the cushion they have built on some of the teams behind them I think the lowest they finish is 11th, which would give the Cats the 8th overall pick. Them finishing 11th instead of 9th or 10th is fairly significant because then the potential CB compensation pick doesn't end up pushing it down further.

Quebec blowing a 4-0 lead in the 3rd vs Victoriaville doesn't help things.

Quebec blowing a 4-0 lead in the 3rd vs Victoriaville doesn't help things. That is an understatement... up 4-0 going into the 3rd and end up losing 7-4 and only the 7th goal was an EN.

Victoriaville has been one of the better teams in the league since the trade period. Because of course.

Victoriaville has been one of the better teams in the league since the trade period. Because of course. And next up for Victo on Friday night are the Mooseheads . On the bright side with a Halifax loss Moncton clinches a playoff position.

8 games left for Victo. They have a 3-in-3 starting Thursday against Shawinigan, Rouyn Friday then on the road Sunday against Gatineau. They're on the road March 10 and 11 at Rouyn and Val d'Or.
You could say their next 5 are tough. This would be the time for the teams behind to make a move (Charlottetown, Chicoutimi, Quebec).

Thanks to Victo's tough schedule down the stretch the Cats will have the 8th overall pick in the 2016 draft.
If the player they really like is gone by that spot I would expect to see it traded for more picks.
