The only reason Trump gets any traction is because they are tired of being fed BS by traditional politicians promising change when change never comes. Trump comes across as different and that appeals to the fed up. I'm not a Trump supporter ... but I see why he appeals to some. It is time for change in the political game ... in US and in Canada. A lot of times though, change is not realistic. Obama also promised a lot of changes...medicare, gun control etc...bit the GOP blocked all gun control and forced a lot of compromise on the medicare. It doesn't matter if it is realistic ... the voters see Trump as change and that is all he needs. Most voters don't have a clue of what he can and can't do.

Most people don't truly think, they act from emotion and that's really dangerous and almost never ends well. If you would randomly ask people what's on their mind ? most would be fucking speechless !!!!!

How would people here feel if decisions which affected Canada's sovereignty were being made in Washington or Mexico City or Brussels? I know the EU is a democratic institution but a large enough population in the U.K. didn't see it working in their interests- it is as simple as that. That is just the problem. The EU is NOT democratic. They have a European Parliament, but that has no power what so ever. All decisions and laws are made by un-elected people in the European Commission and the Council of European Union. Forcing governments of member states to surrender more and more sovereignty to the Mighty EU. The Brits did the best thing by getting out and regaining their own decision making.

This sums up what I think about the Trump campaign. Funniest thing I've watched in a while.

Comical...Trump can't even get an endorsement from his wife without them screwing it up. It looked completely scripted with no personal anecdotes painting him as anything else but the egotistical self centered creep that he is. ...but it gets worse, when compared to Michelle Obama's 2008 speech, it looks like blatant plagerism. www.cnn.com/2016/07/19/politics/melania-trump-michelle-obama-speech/index.html

As if Trump's antic weren't childish enough now his wife has plagiarized Michelle Obama's speech. They are refusing to admit the obviousness of this fact. It was televised internationally but I guess if they say it didn't happen it's good enough ! I've said it before they are running a BULL SHIT BAFFLES BRAINS political campaign and close to 50% of Americans are fucking baffled big time. Hollywood couldn't write a movie script that would include this guys colossal F.......ups and still be on the race for the White House. I'm truly embraced for some but not all (some really deserve him) of my American friends. This guy makes George W Bush look like a freaking genius.
Lol what a mess ✌️

So two passages out of a TEN minute speech which aren't even word for word are blatant plagiarism?
I'm sorry, I didn't realize that Michelle Obama owned the copyright to "parents impressing values on children", "your word is your bond", "we need to pass these lessons on to the many generations that follow".
Now if Melania had said this, "For the first time in my adult life I am proud to be an American," then that would have been 100% blatant plagiarism.

It is something to behold. The entire campaign is a freak show. The reluctant endorsing of him by his own party leaders (and some who completely refuse to - good on them), the awkward interview with his VP, the way he speaks, the outlandish and vague campaign promises. I genuinely question the mental capacity of anyone who feels he would be a good leader.
He is a shallow egomaniac who lies and embellishes constantly - he has a history of telling people he will donate proceeds to charity and DOESN'T! wtf. He has zero experience in the world of politics and very little knowledge or understanding of world relations. He STILL hasn't released his taxes. Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr are his celeb speakers!!! This is just bizarre!
This shouldn't be about party lines... anyone serious about who is leading their country should not be voting for him. There is no "Hillary is no better" argument... they aren't in the same stratosphere of competency to be a world leader.

Yes, they even had a university professor who teaches how to put together speeches say that. I find it comical that you try and defend the "un-defendable" crap Trump spews. Just filled with narcissistic, self promoting, white supremacist rhetoric.

in hindsight it did seem odd when Melania talked about the challenges of being a black woman at Princeton

Michelle Obama most likely ripped those lines off from somebody else in the past who in turn ripped it off from somebody before them who et cetera et cetera blalh blah blah.................. for her supporters to act like she OWNED those lines is beyond ridicluous but her husband has got a free pass for years so why not her right?

Ugh... by all means, then lets see the speech Michelle practically copied word for word. It kind of IS a big deal that they would plagiarise the ENEMY'S speech! You passing it off with blah blah blah is actually how Trump and supporters deal with direct questions or facts presented to them http://instagram.com/p/BIC1Pz6jThL
